Dang it, this was the first non-Captain America #1 cover that popped into my jead when I saw the subject for this week. Oh well, back to the drawing board... Me too! I was scrolling through to see if anybody had used it yet.

NOT AN ENTRY
(Though maybe an inspiration?) I wish this were a cover...

NOT AN ENTRY
(Though maybe an inspiration?) I wish this were a cover... As a general rule I love Gil Kane, but the anatomy of Batman's body is all kinds of messed up there.

Yeah, it is kind of a pirouetting, leaner Batman, and I have no idea where his right leg attaches to his body, but he is punching the living hell out of that thug.

Yeah, it is kind of a pirouetting, leaner Batman, and I have no idea where his right leg attaches to his body, but he is punching the living hell out of that thug. He also doesn't appear to have a torso...or a neck. I'm not sure what his head is attached too...or how it's attached. It just seems to kind of float there.

How about one character throwing multiple punches, as done by the great JRSR?

Also not a cover, but a classic punch. Batman KOs Guy.

Considering the large number of covers Gil Kane drew over his career, I'd be surprised if there wasn't one that resembles that panel with Batman punching the crook.
(edit:) oops - I see Prince Hal already posted one. I think the Atom cover is much the superior of the two, BTW (the Batman and the Atom, I mean).
(another edit: Could that Captain America + Hulk cover have been inspired by a panel or a cover from another comic? Something about it feels familiar.

Spidey trying his best, which is why I love him! I like the background characters in this one: Captain America looks like he's trying to break up the fight, but Giant-Man looks like he has a bet on it and is cheering them on. Meanwhile Thor and Iron Man seem to be flying around at random without a clue, and Hawkeye is just looking for someone to shoot an arrow at.

Go-go checks era for me Maybe not the greatest punch, but definitely one of the greatest covers.

^One of the few Gil Kane efforts I dislike...not a fan of the way Man-Thing looks here. Mind you, I have seen this cover also give credit to Romita so maybe it is more his work on this collaboration that I don't particularly love.
Excellent punch though!
