This one goes out to Paste Pot Paul , talking highly about Gil Kane. In the Classic Cover Contest, Paste Pot Paul rightly points out we could have a whole thread about Gil Kane. Why didn't we think of this before, and for other creators as well ? Here some Kane with Dan Adkins inks      |

Grat stuff from Kane as always. His Marvel tenure as cover artist in the 70's remains to me the essence of my youth as he covered nearly every Marvel series at one time or another and he was the most seen in my minds eye during the days of spinner rack and convenience stores. Oh the sweet sweet memories....It was always interesting to see Kane's take on the MU heroes and villains.

Much as I love Kane, I believe him to be one of the best cover artists ever, I think he needed an inker who softened his lines, either Adkins or Janson being my favorites.
