Okay, to celebrate my first win in the Classic Cover Contest I would like to honour my favourite comic book artist. So the theme for this week's contest is, covers by John Romita (Sr.).
RULES:
Post one (and only one) classic cover that fits the theme of the contest.
Covers must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before December 2007.
Covers must be posted before voting begins.
Voting takes place on Tuesday January 2nd, 2018, beginning at 12:01am PST and ending at 11:59pm PST.
Vote by posting the name in bold of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most.
The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period.
The winner chooses the theme for the next week's contest.
If you don't think the cover fits the theme, don't vote for it; please don't post disparaging remarks about it.
If a cover is more recent than the classic time frame, kindly point it out so that the poster can choose an alternate before voting begins.
Don't link from comics.org (gcd) or Wikia; the images don't show up here or are too small.
Avoid using pictures hosted by Photobucket as they are no longer displaying.
Good luck to everyone...

LOVE your contest subject, as John Romita, Sr, ranks among my top 5 superhero comics artists in history. Its difficult to pick just one from a near endless list of great covers, but the following (print and original art) comes close to all that's great about the man--

Have always loved the heck out of this early Marvel collection. I had it way back in the 70's and read it numerous times.

I love this book! SO MUCH! I got it when it was brand new. It's not quite my introduction to Ditko Spider-Man because I had seen the origin story in Origins of Marvel Comics but I think this book is where my huge admiration for Ditko's work probably started. And Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1 is STILL my favorite comic book.

His first crack at a Spidey cover--not too shabby, eh?

Have always loved the heck out of this early Marvel collection. I had it way back in the 70's and read it numerous times. Same here. Like Origins of Marvel Comics, The Superhero Women and Son of Origins, they were a great way to collect all-important stories, each with a great Romita painted cover--big selling point back in the day.
