In the Portland area we had about a week of clear skies with overnight lows in the mid-20s and highs around 40. Then it got cloudy and rainy and the temperatures immediately went up 15 degrees - lows around 40 and highs in the mid-50s. This is why we don't mind the rain around here.

Last week (up to and including today) looked like
SNOW snow clear snow clear rain RAIN SNOW.
Apparently, the gods like to send us heavy snowfalls on Sunday night, just so we can start our week with a healthy bout of shovelling. It was the third Sunday in a row. Although thankfully, this time the power stayed on!

It's late-March-esque here in Western Pennsylvania, with a high temperature today of 49. We might get a little snow flurry on Friday night into Saturday morning, but the temperatures have settled into the low-40s for highs/low-30s for the foreseeable future.
I hate snow from a driving and shoveling perspective, but it would be nice once in a while to get a little coating on the ground just to break up the grey sky and brown grass palette.

Yesterday at 4pm the temperature went below freezing, and the forecast says it's going to stay below freezing until Tuesday night. That's about 100 consecutive hours. We haven't had more than 8 consecutive hours below freezing so far this winter.
Today will have snow and rain all day, but after that it will be dry. Not warm enough to melt what falls today, but dry.
And just last weekend I saw the first bulbs pushing up green shoots in the garden.

We’ve gotten about 6-7 inches of snow (which isn’t as bad as the 18 inches the night of Thanksgiving) with sustained winds over 15 mph and gusts to 35. It’s supposed to snow the rest of the day. It’s not supposed to get above freezing again until Wednesday and it’s supposed to be down to -2 Tuesday.

We're in a cold snap right now. Temps will have a high in the low 20s today and that's the warmest it will get until late next week. Highs are predicted between 10 and 15 the rest of the week. We've had a little snow, but a lot of rain rain and flooding while temps were in the 40s the last week, so everything is wet and saturated to freeze as temps dropped last night, so it's pretty nasty. On top of it all, we've had gusting winds up to 50 mph since yesterday, so lots of branches falling, especially now that everything is covered in ice. The next day forecasted to have a high above freezing is Monday the 22nd (9 days from now) with a high predicted to be 34 that day. But then it looks like a week in the 40s again for everything to thaw a little bit. No snow in the forecast until next weekend though. So just bitter cold for a week.

We had a high of 10 degrees today but with wind chills that felt like -2. We only got about a 1/2 inch to an inch of accumulation of snow, but more flurries expected overnight. Our expected high for the week is Thursday, in the mid 20s but that comes on the front of another stormfront that might bring bigger snow accumulations Thursday evening through Friday. Winter is most definitely here. How long it stays, who knows, but it's here now.

Currently -6. Feels like -14 with the wind chill. So an assume is blowing that 8 inches of snow into nasty drifts. Oh joy.

There's an ice storm warning starting at 2pm tomorrow until 4am on Wednesday. They say we could have an inch of snow and a half-inch of ice along with wind gusts up to 40 mph. Then on Wednesday morning, the temperature finally goes above freezing but it will rain all day.

Well, Zagreb has had its first real snowfall of the year this morning... The thing is, the weather almost shifted on a dime; after a pretty frigid cold snap last week, temps on the days leading up to this have been pretty balmy - I was walking around in town yesterday wearing a light sweatshirt and windbreaker and started sweating, and saw, e.g., a handyman unloading tools from his van wearing nothing but a t-shirt. Early this morning the wind started blowing, it started raining, temps dropped and the rain turned to ice and then to snow somewhere around 8 a.m. About 3 inches have fallen since then (it's about 10:30 now) and it's still coming down.

We had a snow front move through overnight. Got just under 2 inches of snow, which isn't bad. Temps will be cold until Monday, with wind chills in the negatives, but all things considered, we've been lucky compared to how some areas have been hit by winter weather.

We've got several severe storms moving through the region this afternoon. Heavy winds and rain, potential hail and tornado watch through the rest of the day. Several businesses are closing early or limiting hours because of it. My dentist closed his office at noon and a couple of comic/game stores have cancelled Magic events they had scheduled tonight and are closing early. I was out running errands a half hour ago and it was bright and sunny. I just heard thunder and looked out and it's pitch black out there (and the eclipse is not until next Monday). And now I can hear the rain pounding down.
