Awesome! Now give me a Masterworks or Epic or something that collects the first 15 issues and I'll be happy.

Last chance they team up Thomas and BWS for one last grand adventure.
Roy's Conan Saga stands very well on it's own plus it was teased in that last issue he did with Buscema, plus they are both alive - that would be epic!

I wish BWS would just start doing comics again of any kind, whether Conan or something else.
Conan back at Marvel? I have no particular expectations, good or bad. My impression is that the creators move around pretty freely from company to company, so it isn't as if there's a Marvel writer who could never have written a Conan comic until now. And even if that were true, I can't think of any writer I'd specially want to see write Conan at the moment.

It'll be interesting to see what they do on that score.. it's been very well collected by Dark Horse, and recently. I wonder if there is something big in the works... seems weird that the property would go to Marvel.. there's not much interest right now.

I saw this mentioned in another post first and posted my thoughts there as well as pics of the promo art Marvle released witht he announcement. No new series until 2019 though, so we'll be waiting for a while to see what they do with it. -M

Jason Aaron posted this on his instagram account earlier today. Perhaps a hint he's in line to write the new book? -M

If Marvel offers 40% off on print subs for this like they do some of their other books, I'll probably do the subscription like I did with the launch of Doc Strange and Coates Black Panther to show my support for the series directly to them, assuming I like the creative team that is.

Perhaps Disney wants a new lucrative movie franchise, not really interested in comics, short of gaining the publishing rights for the title (via comics). It's fine by me as long as they: 1. Commission Roy and BWS (or Neil Adams) to complete Roy's Conan Saga. Incidentally Conan is about the same age as them, in episode where Roy left off - Necromancers of Na'at (published in CS 10). [Of course assuming they all would be interested.] 2. Have a good principal writer for a new saga, if it's Aaron - I say hell yes. 3. Don't mix Hyborian World with Marvel Super-Hero Universe in any way shape or form, in new issues, if they can help it. 4. As far as reprints go - Give us complete Roy's saga in Hyborian chronological order, it's nearly 300 standalone issues (published over the course of 30 years, in variety of magazines and series) that could be in TPBs thematically (not just x number of pages per trade - each volume can cover the "phase" in life of a Cimmerian, roughly), and with color reconstruction done in the same vain as DH did for chronicles (CB). (Deserves another thread...) SSC material would have to be colored for the first time, for the most part. DH did it for SSC Tower of Elephant and few other episodes in "Robert E. Howard's Savage Sword" and they knocked it out of the park. Perhaps it's the same guy who colored the Chronicles (CB reprints).

I don't have exact stories but back when he worked for Valiant, Shooter claimed that none of the big two would hire him. Of course thats over 20 years ago and times change. I would love to see him take on Conan one last time.

He did some work for Marvel in the early 2000s, so if it was true, it doesn't appear to still be valid.
