Announced at NYCC and reported on BCthere will be a number of variants for Conan the Barbarian #1 including one by Greg Hildebrandt, and they will release a number of $1 True Believer reprints of Conan stories. -M |

Not sure it's been mentioned here or not, but one of the things revealed at NYCC is that each issue of the Conan books will have a back up, a chapter of prose that is part of a serialized novella. Not sure if it runs across all the Conan titles or if each title has a separate prose story.

Stopped in my lcs today to add the Conan books to my pull(they haven't been officially solicited yet), but saw Marvel was doing a few things to promote the launch-so I ordered a couple of these to keep some of my Conan comics in...  (the art on the other side of the box is classic BWS). I also ordered the poster of Ribic's cover to CTB #1. -M |

January solicitations are out, so Conan the Barbarian #1 and #2 have been solicited... and a bunch of True Believer $1 Conan reprints... plus an epic collection of the first 19 issues of the Dark horse series...  -M |

Here are some of the variants for #1... Hildebrandt...     and the main cover to #2...  There will also apparently be a number of variants for other titles featuring Conan vs. super-villains associated with that title (I see at least Cap and Iron Man solicits with Conan variants, probably more that I did not see as I did not look that closely. -M |

Now we’re talking. When Brian Wood sent Conan in the Pictish wilderness in the Dark Horse book, it was the kind of place you can have a pleasant stroll with your girlfriend while going to visit your mom.
Too many variants for my taste, but Marvel seems to want this revival to succeed.

Marvel is offering 40% off print subscription to Conan the Barbarian. I am probably going to subscribe rather than get it from a comic shop.

The samples shown in RR's post look better to me than the ones I remember seeing previously from the Glénat Conan - but maybe that was a different book with a different artist. I think I might give Le Colosse Noir a try, if I can find it at a decent price. Did you have to order your copy online, Ben, or did you find it in the store?
