Years ago, I had around 10 long boxes full of comics. Sold most of them and am now down to three long boxes and one short box. I could probably sell off some more as I have several omnibuses, but the originals have sentimental value and I can't bring myself to part with them. I've been buying lots of old Archie comics lately, so I may find myself buying more long boxes, haha!

Not sure exactly, but an educated guess would be roughly 2,500.

I just counted all my floppies and I said that I said earlier that I had 517 and my brother went to his bank and we both shared the same deposit box and I do have 55 books there.
I have 320 floppies at home in closets (and bank) and my exact count is 375.
I'm going to keep the 127 JLA Grant Morrison run and sell the 248 books by the end of Summer and then in the Fall thinking of selling the 55 in my safety deposit box to my LCS and use the monies for anything I want. I will take care of that later on. I have a dear friend that's might take the entire 127 books of Morrison's run and he's thinking of acquiring it by Spring of 2019 and I should be floppies free by that time and then ... go through my DC Archives and Marvel Masterworks to think about selling some of 106 books there in Spring of 2019.
I need less clutter in my own household ...

I've got probably the equivalent of 8-10 long boxes. Filing system is a mess though, and 3 or 4 are earmaked as $1 each at a couple of upcoming shows.

I really hate the term "floppies," but I'm sitting on around 3,000 of them. (Figuratively, Icctrombone!)

I don't like it either. What else can we call single issues?

8,425. Honestly, it's too many. I've read two thirds of that collection, and will probably only re-read a small fraction of it one day. I just don't need that much. I'd love to trim it down to 4 or 5,000 some day.

I too hate the term "floppies" I guess because I'm old i think of floppy disks every time i hear that term. I wouldn't worry about being old; that's the origin of the term. It's meant to conjure up smug sentiments about how quaint and often ridiculous the technology of the recent-ish past can appear in the immediate present. It's meant as a pejorative, and it's undeserved. After all, if those "floppy disks" were so outmoded, they wouldn't today be safe-guarding America's nuclear arsenal, now would they?
