That Undersea Agent issue .... that dragon looks a lot like Fing Fang Foom. I was thinking it looked like his (Kane's) Abomination. |

That Undersea Agent issue .... that dragon looks a lot like Fing Fang Foom. it's a pretty standard scaly/finned humanoid "creature from the deep." Fin Fang Foom has more a Chinese Dragon thing going on with whiskers.  |

I think it's the more biped aspect that is different from most dragons in fiction, that I associate with Fing Fang Foom and/or Chinese dragons in general. Plus the fingernails. Dragons have claws. Or at least dragons in American literature they do. Those were the similarities I noticed. I'm not sure I've seen Kane's Abomination. My Hulk issues are pretty much from Mantlo/Buscema's run on forward. I think people are thinking of this. Now that I see it, I can see where you would note the similarities. I have only a small handful of ToA and most of them are Silver Surfer appearances. |
