With Infinity War out for a while, there's now 19 to be ranked, so with an appropriate drum roll... - Avengers (8.5)- despite the weakness of the ending, the sheer visceral thrill of it takes it to the top of the pile
- Avengers: Infinity War (8.4999) - placing this high even surprised me as I was doing it, but looking at the other contenders, it just beats them - the best Dr Strange movie, arguably the best Thor movie, easily the best Thanos movie, it just fails to take 1st plot due to some of the weak jokes and tonal shifts, but it was close - I've rewatched it several times now, and it holds up really well. And reading what I've just written about the ending of Avengers... oooh, so close
- Guardians of The Galaxy (8.0)
- Captain America: Winter Soldier (7.8) - really good film, but the mcguffin with the ending and how to take down the targets was so weak.
- Captain America: Civil War (7.5)
- Iron Man (7.3)- first 4/5 is great, ending is meh
- Captain America (7.25)- mostly really good, Red Skull is largely meh
- Thor Ragnarok (7.2)- decent in places, but overboard on the humour in others. Never lived up to the Led Zepellin trailer. Has definitely grown on me after rewatching, and moved up the list
- Ant Man (7.1)
- Dr. Strange (6.8) - weak villain, though the reinvented Mordo worked pretty well
- Iron Man 3 (6.5)
- Avengers: Age of Ultron (6) - hated the whole mind control section, and not overly fond of Ultron
- Spider-Man: Homecoming (5.95) - nothing really wrong with it, but it just didn't engage me
- Thor (5.8) - a lot of the earthbound stuff was weak, and I loathed Natalie Portman
- Thor 2 (5.6) - a lot of the earthbound stuff was weak, and I loathed Natalie Portman
- Iron Man 2 (5.5) - first 2/3 was weak, but a good last act
- Black Panther - visually spectacular, some break-out characters, but plot was weak and some of the CGI was really bad.
- Guardians of The Galaxy 2 (5.5) - everything felt so forced, like they were trying to ape the first one, but had no real idea why it worked
- Incredible Hulk (5.2)
Assigning scores caused me to rearrange a few of them - their positions and their scores just didn't align FWIW, for context, I'd rank all the DCEU movies below all of those films, including Wonder Woman (5), Batman Begins (4), Dark Knight (5, but would have been so much higher if it had ended after 90 minutes), and let's not talk about the trainwrecks of Suicide Squad, BvS or Justice League that barely even even register a score.

1. Avengers 2. Captain America: Civil War 3. Captain America: First Avenger 4. Captain America: Winter Soldier 5. Iron Man 6. Thor 7. Incredible Hulk 8. Avengers: Age of Ultron 9. Iron Man 3 10. Iron Man 2 11. Guardians of The Galaxy 2 12. Guardians of the Galaxy 13. Thor: Dark World 14. Thor: Ragnarok 15. Doctor Strange 16. Avengers Infinity War
Saw both Guardians movies at my friend place a week ago -- I watch it with open arms and felt that Rocket Raccoon and his gang are very good characters to boot. The original Thor with the Destroyer scene is my favorite so far and that's why it's moved up a couple of notches. My movies from Number #8 to #12 listed here are really all in eighth place and they are all noteworthy film to watch. I've moved up Thor: Ragnarok because of that scene of Hulk battling the Ferris Wolf and that's was made this film very memorable to me and the Gladiator Scene with the Hulk and Thor was good too. I've didn't care for Doctor Strange and Avengers Infinity War and the concepts of the Infinity Stones are too much for me to understand and I tried my best to understand them and I've felt that Marvel Comics made these stones too wild for me and not my cup of tea to understand them and with all of these characters running amok and this film is not my favorite at all and I've seen it twice already and not interested in seeing again.
The original Avengers Movie is still the best -- The Hulk Smash scene with Captain America directing the Hulk to do is so priceless and enduring and that's made this fan so happy that he's able to enjoy the action after the Captain said that to the Hulk.
Chris Evans was born to play Captain America and he was perfect for that role and made it very believable to me. He was perfect as the Captain and his role as the Human Torch in Fantastic Four is a joke.

Captain America 2, Black Panther, and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 are my favorite. It pains me to see how many of you are so very wrong about the latter.
I didn't care for Spider-Man: Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor 2.
The rest were fine.

Not so much a ranking, as thoughts:
Iron Man-first film is near perfect, great performance, decent villain (gets a bit over-the-top in the climax; but, Jeff bridges can get away with it. Second film really disjointed, like they rethought everything in the middle. Waste of Justin Hammer and Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo; climax is kind of pointless. Third film-had potential, with the Mandarin; but, they chickened out. Stuff with Tony and the kid, in the small town, was pretty good. Climax was big and loud and of little dramatic worth.
Thor-First film is good, until the third act gets rushed through, to get to Avengers. Could have used more epic scope. Second has some moments; but, a really weak villain, obvious problems with actors and a very weak story. Hiddleston is great, though. Ragnarok is one of my favorite Marvel films. It has a quirky sense of humor; but, never looses sight of the drama. Action is well staged, music is fantastic. It has personality, which a lot of these have lacked. Shows you can break from formula and make a great superhero film.
Captain America- First Avenger is spot on; but, climax really feels like it could have been held back, for another period movie. Montage of Howler missions just begged for more time. Evans nailed the character and Haley Atwell turned out probably the most rounded female character in these things. Winter Soldier was a great throwback to paranoid espionage dramas of the 60s and 70s, like 3 Days of the Condor. Spectacle was mostly in service to the story. Lot of great emotional material. Civil War has some good character stuff; but, like the comic, still revolves around too many characters acting out of, well, character. Spider-Man and Ant-Man steal their scenes.
Hulk-Um........it's okay; not great, not terrible. It's more the tv show, until the Army shows up. Blonsky was more interesting before he becomes the Abomination. Monster design was pretty forgettable; fight was rather poorly staged. Not surprised that it fell apart as a franchise (aside from the complicated rights issues). Character better used in the Avengers films an Ragnarok.
Guardians of the Galaxy-despite hating that it isn't my Guardians, these have been my favorite films (aside from Cap). Films have personality, characters are fun, soundtrack is awesome (total flashbacks to my childhood. They handle the cosmic mumbo-jumbo well by keeping the characters relatable. Ego didn't fully work, though. Rocket and baby Groot should have gotten a buddy film.
Ant-Man-loved it; great heist film, nice character stuff, fun cast. Again, personality and departure from formula. Villain was weak, though. Sequel looks good, and looking forward to Hope, as the Wasp.
Spider-Man-I thought the first Raimi film was spot on, except the Green Goblins costuming (don't hide Dafoe's face). The Marvel film captures the personality of the character better than any of the Sony films. He feels like a teenager, has the wise-acre delivery and enthusiasm, handles real emotion well. Want more with him. Michael Keaton was one of the best villains these things have had. Very layered.
Black Panther-aside from the cultural significance, just a really well done film, on all levels. Killmonger is probably the most rounded of all of the villains and one who could be seen as a hero, in a certain light. That makes for good storytelling. Will be hard to top, though.
Dr Strange-decent film; not a character that ever did much for me, beyond Ditko's visuals (and Colan). The basic mechanics of his magic has never been defined, which is part of why I've never warmed to his stories. Film has good visuals, supporting characters are more interesting than the lead, though. Cloak is fun, reality bending is fine. Wouldn't want a steady diet of the same material, though. Always preferred Doc in Defenders, where things got weirder and quirkier.
Avengers-not a great fan of these. Too many characters competing for screen time and Downey, Hemsworth and Evans get most of it. Some good character scenes, sporadically. Plots are pretty similar, lot of "smashey-smashey," with little rhyme or reason to the action. Would really benefit from being longer form stories. The best Avengers stories played out over several issues. Filmmakers have never really grasped "teamwork" in the storyboarding of the action scenes. Then again, a lot of comic book artists and writers struggle with this.
As for villains: Loki, Hela, Killmonger, Thanos, Alexander Pierce, Obadiah Stane, Vulture are all top tier. Mandarin could have been there, without the swerve.

Updated my list quite a bit. I'm noticing a theme that I don't seem to be a fan of the sequels. I guess I've never felt we got one that truly took a character/franchise to the next level (unless you count Infinity War as an Avengers sequel).
GREAT MCU Films
1 Iron Man. Just a perfect origin film, and the template upon which most other MCU films/characters were based. 2. Guardians of the Galaxy. Perfect combination of fun and truly hitting you in the feels. 3. Black Panther. FINALLY, an MCU film that's actually about something. Serious ethical ideas being discussed on screen. Love it! 4. Infinity War. Powerful, deep characterization for Thanos, and surprisingly plot driven for an MCU film. Not the Thanos I love, but still pretty great.
GOOD MCU films
5. Incredible Hulk. Always loved the dual character progression of Banner and Hulk in this one. Ed Norton was born to play this role. 6. Thor. Loki made it memorable. The rest was...adequate. 7. Spider-Man: Homecoming. I actually haven't seen it yet, but I LOVE the casting based on what I saw in Infinity War. 8. Avengers. LOVE Black Widow and Loki. I can take or leave the rest. 9. Captain America. Not bad. Not a film I ever choose to go back and watch again. 10. Dr. Strange. So uneven! It's really just Tony Stark in a wizard's cape, the special effects got tedious, that spinning motion they had to do with their hands looked ridiculous, and Dormamu was a letdown, but I still generally enjoyed the story and its progression. And Tilda Swinton utterly rocked in a role I never ever would have thought she should have been cast for.
FORGETTABLE MCU films
11. Captain America: Winter Soldier. I got REALLY into it while watching it, then sat back, and realized I ultimately didn't really care about anything that had happened in the film. I realize this puts me in an extremely small minority. "The government is corruptible." Got it. 12. Thor: Dark World 13. Antman 14. Antman and the Wasp 15. Iron Man 2 16. Avengers: Age of Ultron
BAD MCU films
17. Iron Man 3
MCU Films I've actually never bothered to see and have no particular interest in getting around to seeing:
Captain America: Civil War Guardians of The Galaxy 2 Thor: Ragnarok

On "Tony Stark in a wizard's cape", there's definitely a significant element of truth there and you're not the first I've heard making that comment - and it's not helped by having both characters with similar facial hair
The film changed Mordo significantly, and while on the one hand it made him a better character rather than just being Baron Evil McEvil, it does remove probably the single most important part of Strange's origin, which is that he buckles down to leanr magic in order to save the Ancient One from Mordo. With it, you have a noble sacrifice by Strange; lose it, and you do have the Tony Stark origin.

What could they have done to make Strange's origin more distinct, without straying from the comic book material too far? Batman Begins did a similar thing with Bruce Wayne, sending him to Asia to find his mojo. Iron Fist as well.

Some re-aligning of scores in the middle, in light of Captain Marvel. Ragnarok might be creeping up a bit more as well, but I haven't moved it yet

Now that COMIC BOOK MOVIES are such an ongoing thing and not in short supply anymore, I find that I can care less about "ranking" them. I consider these movies now being even more like comic books: as disposable entertainment. There are a lot which I like and enjoy and will watch many times over and then there are those I will only ever pull out to watch when the mood strikes. Even the worst comic book movie anymore still has redeeming values with something within the movie I can find to like and enjoy. I have yet to find that any comic book movie has that instant connection for me that I want to watch it over and over again. Once at the theater to savor all that big screen glory and special effects and then once at home a year or so later has been enough for me.

To all intents and purposes, that's what the ranking ends up being - a measure of how rewatchable the films are, and that's kind of why I've added that note about Ragnarok - I've seen Captain America and Iron Man a couple of times, but I'm not sure I'd watch either again, whereas I've already watched Ragnarok 4 or 5 times, and would probably again. When I get down into the middle, they're films I might watch if they come on TV and I want some background while I'm doing the ironing or something, but otherwise I wouldn't bother
