Went to Applebee's and was surprised at how nice their grilled chicken and shrimp tasted. Was it the Cajun-style chicken and shrimp with potatoes on the cast iron skillet? I had that last weekend and it was surprisingly tasty. With enough MSG, just about anything will taste good.

Had a dish of my own devising which for lack of a better name we call "Thanksgiving Loaf". Basically a ground turkey meatloaf with cubed stuffing instead of bread crumbs, topped with turkey gravy instead of ketchup. Paired with roasted Yukon Gold potatoes in butter, smothered in sweet onions. Family was happy.

With banana pudding for dessert providing the crowning touch to the meal, no doubt.

But the stuffing mixed in instead of bread crumbs sounds .... mmmmmm.

If you try it, make the stuffing like the directions on the bag, just like you were going to use it in a turkey, and, if possible, get ground turkey with a higher fat content (my store has 7% fat and 15% fat ground turkey). That keeps it nice and moist.

I wanted to thank all members here to share their dinner meals with us ... I never thought it would reach 2 pages in 24 hours or less.
Anyway, I had an early dinner with my dear friend Sandy today and we went to a place called Mongolian Grill and we both had a great meal of stir-fry with fresh veggies and fruit to have them grill it Mongolian Style. I had Ice Tea for drink and she had Lemonade.
I will be joining her for dessert when she gets off work in 4 hours from now and off to our friend's place for Movies.

Susan's out with former work mates tonight, and I was pretty busy with neurosurgeon follow up and physical therapy today.
Called the Chinese place around the corner and got Dragon Meets Phoenix and a couple other dinners for the frig for whenever I'm hungry. I like doing that.

What is Dragon Meets Phoenix? It's an upcoming inter-company crossover where Erik Larsen's green hero meets Jean Grey. Either that or a Chinese dish with chicken and shrimp.

Had fried catfish at lunch with coleslaw, fries & baked beans (not a normal catfish side, of course, but I skipped hushpuppies because I didn't want anything else fried), followed a couple of hours later by a cake & ice cream (joint mid-to-late-September birthday gathering for me & a couple of others at work) & very seriously doubt I'll eat anything for supper. The Fiber One Chocolate & Oats bar I have every day (one in the a.m., one in the p.m.) for, uh, medicinal purposes might be the only exception.

I had a seafood casserole (Shrimp, fresh crab meat) in a cheesy blush sauce with cheese, bread crumbs, and garden bow-tie pasta. It was phenomenal!

I eat at least twice a week.
