I have 2 Romulans and a Werewolf due to arrive from Target this week, and I just managed to snag a Kirk on the website as part of the buy 2 get 1 free (I got the 14 inch Joker and the Cowardly Lion as the other 2 in the order), that is due to arrive by the 11th (fingers crossed). That's all my must haves form wave 3 gotten now, but I may get a blue (Silver Age) Batman and Lex Luthor at some point.
I do have an extra Frankenstein that I would be willing to trade for something if anyone hasn't been able to get a Franky yet.

My Target had Blair, Woody, 1 Flash, 1 Joker, several Zods, Poison Ivy, Harelquin, and a few random characters from the first two waves. I had a wolfman in my cart at Target.com yesterday, but it was gone before I could check out. I hear the green shirt Kirk is just as elusive.

My werewolf and one Romulan arrived this morning. The other Romulan and the order with Kirk, Joker and the Lion is due next week.

Finally got a werewolf this morning! Green shirt Kirk was up too. I was going to shop for the buy 2 get 1 free, but I was afraid the Wolfman would be removed from my cart before I could check out. Now only need the blue Batman!

At Louisville Supercon this weekend, Marty Abrams mentioned Mego will be doing a Muhammad Ali figure in 2019. Not sure if it will be in 8 inch or 14 inch scale (the 70s Ali figure was 12 inch I believe).
Also in a TV interview in which he appeared with Henr yWinkler on local TV in Louisville, Abrams mentioned they will be doing a "thumbs up" variant on Fonzie with movable thumbs as the 70s Fonzie figure had. There's apso been mention of some kind of Andre the Giant figure form Mego in 2019, but not sure that is confirmed or just rumor at this point.

So the Blue Batman and Lex were available tonight on the Target site, so I snagged them and picked up a Jo form Facts of Life for free that I think I will use as the base to make a Red Sonja custom.

I got all the 14 inch figures except Harley Quinn. From the 8 inch line I got Action Jackson, Kelly Garrett, Jimi Hendrix, Tootie, Jeannie and Major Nelson, Endora and Serena, Samantha Stevens, Sabrina Duncan, Marcia Brady, Blair Warner, Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolfman. Bring on wave 4! My favorites from the 14 inch line are Superman and Flash. I gave my nephew a Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern. A friend who loves the Brady Bunch will be getting Greg, Marcia, and Alice for her birthday.

well, they didn't have the Gene Simmons in stock during the buy two get one free. . . .BUT it's back in stock today, and they are doing Free shipping.
so I just ordered the Gene and the Paul 8" KISS figures.

Got my Paul and Gene in the mail today (both fairly low numbers (in the high 1000's).
anyone know if there are plans for Ace and Peter at any point in the future?

Nothing for future waves has been confirmed except that they are doing a Muhammad Ali figure. If they do do more KISS figures, it won't be Ace and Peter, but Spaceman and Catman since KISS can license the make up looks but not the likenesses and names of Ace and Peter (hence also why the Megos were the Demon and Starchild rather than Gene and Paul).
My best guess is that they will, but it will be one figure per wave as they have only done one music icon per wave so far. The plan is for 6 waves in 2019 (unless something changes) as they did 3 in 2018 but didn't release the first until August, but I would only expect one in the first quarter of 2019 (probably debuting after Toy Fair in February would be my guess, but I know nothing for certain and nothing has been announced). If I hear anything as part of the ambassador program. I'll pass it along here though.

My Target receipts say "KISS Demon: Gene Simmons figure" and "KISS Starchild: Paul Stanley figure" Well Target had the Frankenstein listed as Boris Karloff Frankenstein for a long time even though Mego didn't have the Universal Monsters' rights, and Chachi as Pinky Tuscadero (which was the planned figure but rights issues got in the way of doing it) so I am guessing that is on Target and their half-assed data entry and editing efforts rather than Mego actually using Gene and Paul's name. -M |
