Thirty years ago this month marks the official start of my comic book collecting. They weren't the first books I bought, but it was the first time I went to a recently opened comic shop and bought new books, which I've been doing ever since.
My first books off the stand were X-Men #204 and New Mutants #39 (and maybe a couple others, but those two I remember distinctly).
Other books from this month which I now have are: Action Comics #578 Avengers #266 Fantastic Four #289 Justice League of America #249 Spectacular Spider-Man #113 Web of Spider-Man #14 West Coast Avengers #8 X-Factor #3
