Thirty years ago (April 1986) Thor, The Frog of Thunder graced the newstand racks. It's one of my favorite comic books in Walter Simonson's legendary run in Thor.

comics bought in May 1986: Elric of Melnibone - actually not sure I bought this at the time or a few years later; Miracleman #9 - another mind-blowing Alan Moore series of the 80s Swamp Thing #51 - and another!

Bought in May 1986 :
Conan # 185. Jim Owsley's writing was neat. He had brought back a continuing storyline, a supporting cast, a Hyborian world that finally made some sense, and engaging stories. Conan the king #36. An unending Hyborian Age world war makes for sort of repetitive stories, but I liked it anyway. Firestorm #50. I think that one had some revelation about Ronnie's dad or something. Swamp Thing #51. A brilliant Alan Moore issue.
Not a big haul. I had given up seriously reading comics at the time, after the sting of having Jean Grey resurrected.
