Well, that just made me feel old. I was in college. If that wasn't bad enough, 50 is exactly two weeks away!
Ugh, my Shazambego is acting up!

Fall of '86 is senior year of high school for me, what I was getting at the local shop included...
-Action Comics 585-building m fascination with the Phantom Stranger character
-Adventures of Superman 425, it was my favorite of the Supes revamp books at the time
-Amazing Spider-Man 285, didn't like Punisher then, still don't but he was better when he wa sa foil than a lead so I could put up with him then
-Avengers 276 Masters of Evil storyline, liked it a lot then, liked it less each time I reread it
-Batman 404-Year One
-Batman DKR tpb, one of the first modern trades I ever bought (the Fireside Books Son of Origins was the first trade I ever got in the 70s).
-Classic X-Men 6-my first go around with the classic Byrne Cockum material before I had jumped on board X-Men with my cousin's purchases of X-Men 105.
-Detective Comics 571-the Barr/Davis run was exquisite but lasted far too short of a time
-Dreadstar 29-Starlinhad broght me into the world of indy comics
-Elektra Assassin 5-one of the hardest books to read but ultimately very satisfying
-FF 299-was about to drop this book
FF vs. The X-Men 1-because you had to buy every X-book at the time just in case...
Fury of Firestorm 56-Legends crossover, not a regular purchase
GL Corps 209-was sticking with Englehart...
History of the DC Universe #2-I devoured this book as I was really just getting into DC and was a Perez groupie at the time
Iron Man 215-seeing the classic red and gold again made me realize how much I hated the clunky read and silver armor Tony had at the time
Justice League 259-I was hanging on to see who would die...
Legends 4-I was totally enraptured by this series at the time and it was turning me into a newbie DC junkie after years of being mostly a Marvel zombie
Official JLA Index 6-again diving into DC history with both feet at the time as best I could
Spider-Man vs. Wolverine-againbacause you could not not buy an X-book at the time...
Superman #2-my least favorite of the Superman revamp books
Thor 376-hanging on but not as much fun with Sal Buscema on art, was missing Walt's art big time
Uncanny X-Men 214-the book was heading into its decline for me here, but I hung on for years...
Watchmen 6-totally blown away by this series at the time
West Coast Avengers 18-Englehart doing his thing despite the dreadfully boring art by Milgrom and the terrible inkers he had there
Who's Who 24, gain getting my DC history on
Wonder Woman 1 Prerz baby, that's all I needed to buy this book at the time
X-Factor 13-loving Simonson and Simonson, but missing Walt's art on Thor.
