I think DC are going, across the line, for aesthetic & tone that just doesn't work with me - I haven't even liked any of the DCEU films yet, so it's no surprise that that this isn't rocking my boat either. FWIW, I thought Shazam looked weak, but this (and in fairness, Aquabro is a pretty tough sell to me), looked awful.
I will hope to be pleasantly surprised, but all the DC films so far have been worse than their trailers, so I'm not getting my hopes up too much

Generally, I've either really disliked or outright hated the newer DC movies I've watched, including the Nolan Batmans, until Wonder Woman - which I didn't think was perfect but which I enjoyed a great deal. I'm hoping this Aquaman film and Shazam will capture some of the fun of that one.

The only one that has come anywhere near working for me was the first 90 minutes of Dark Knight - albeit I'm not as blown away by Heath Ledger's Betelgeuse impression as others are, it's still a pretty good film up to that point ... but then there's an hour of superfluous crap tacked on the end, which totally ruined the film for me.

I'm passing up on this movie -- because I'm not a fan of Jason at all. I watched that clip in YouTube earlier and it's looks okay and it's not that bad to watch. I just don't care for a dark-haired Aquaman at all and doesn't look like one at all. Sorry folks.

Batman makes sense as a dark character. All of these other dark, grungy "hero" movies miss the point of the characters. I'll be better off letting my kids watch re-runs of Super-Friends.

I don't see many movies but this looks good, probably will make the effort to watch. I think Jason Momoa is perfect for the role, never really understood a blonde haired blue eyed aquaman, he looks how I would picture a king of the seas.

This and Shazam are definite maybes. If the reviews look decent I'll likely see them. Given that Wonder Woman is the only DC movie I've liked since Batman Begins I am very skeptical of them. The fact that I'm considering this is a testament to the fact that the trailer was decent. Because I've had zero interest in Aqua-Bro.

I’ve gotten to the point with the DCEU that few things outside of an Alan Moore based, Guillermo del Toro produced Swamp Thing adaptation would get me interested in a movie/show with the DC logo adorned to it.
This doesn’t necessarily look terrible, but there’s nothing there to really peak my interest either.
I’ll say it again, DC should forget this “shared universe” formula that they’ve so sh*tastically aped from Marvel and just concentrate on building well crafted, stand-alone movies.
Cavill, Affleck, and Mamoa have already been ruined in my eyes (with Gal Gadot as the only remaining unscathed, as surprising as that may have seemed to me just a year ago).
Push the hard reset button. And push it HARD.

I don't know; this looked a little too "pro wrestling" to me and the presence of both Ocean Master and Black Manta suggests they are trying to do too many things in one film. It also doesn't look particularly deep (pardon the pun). I can wait until I see it for free.
Shazma has me more curious than this, though still rather guarded. I still say Warner would be better served to turn the film franchises over to Bruce Tim and the animation gang and let them produce something that is both entertaining and captures the essence of the comics, in a new medium.
I like Jason Momoa in small doses; I don't see him as a lead actor.

Just watched it all the way through again, and I've gone from "looks bad" to "looks like a megaton of suck". The dialogue is terrible, the acting is terrible, and visually the whole thing looks like a Disney kid's cartoon - all the underwater stuff with turtles and sharks etc just looks like Little Mermaid: The Aquabro Years.

This is probably a Thursday morning, I have nothing to do over my Christmas vacation, $4 matinee movie for me. No, Momoa isn't the best actor and the dialogue is cringe-worthy, but the underwater scenes at least look pretty, so it has that going for it. Mera's look is not good, but Black Manta seems pretty decent, so I might give it a chance.

Wait, didn't we see this trailer already, back when it was the Black Panther trailer...

For most viewers, Superman is a Boy Scout, and Batman is a creepy vigilante, but Aquaman has no clear personality. He could be a carefree frat boy princeling like Thor, whose main experience of royalty has been luxury. Or a haughty, prickly monarch like Namor or Dr. Doom. Or a Luddite eco-terrorist. Or a lovelorn poet who just wants to be where the people are, up where they walk, up where they run, up where they stay all day in the sun. It all depends on what story gets told about the society in which he lives underwater, and his relationship to it.
