Oh yeah. His work on Bob Hope is some of my favorite stuff from Fitzgerald

Paul Rivoche. Great designer, graphic artist and all around strong artist. From Mister X to Tom Strong, when he pops up its good draftsmanship

Again yes !
He's like a poster child for this thread.
He's exactly the type of artist that's mostly under the radar but does outstanding work and doesn't begin to get the recognition he deserves.

I wouldn't say he is under the radar, though. He's currently the regular artist on the best selling ongoing and has had runs on most top books, constant work for the past 30 years or so. He's been regularly named as on e of the favorite artists of the pas few years as well, by pros and fans alike.

Val Mayerik, he was fairly well known in the Bronze Age, but has since fallen under the radar. His best work was of course Man-Thing, where he co0created Howard the Duck. But also The Living Mummy and Frankenstein, especially when he inked himself.

Apart from Crumb, Mayerik's probably the biggest "name" to draw for American Splendor (I've got a page--not this one found online).

Love Berube's work, but I believe that beautiful Falling In Love cover is by the (also underrated) Ric Estrada.

Love Berube's work, but I believe that beautiful Falling In Love cover is by the (also underrated) Ric Estrada. I think you're right - about the cover artist and the fact that he's also underappreciated. I put a new image in the original post (a splash-page from a story Berube illustrated. By the way, more art by Berube can be seen accompanying the interview I linked in that first post.
