So I was thinking about this the other day when I had see a pic of my friend's kid dressed up for a comic con. Years back for Christmas my parents somehow managed to find a Greatest American Hero set with the VW Bug and Ralph and Bill. I Never knew how rare that was until recently. Apparently it was one of the last thing made by the Mego Corporation on the 3 3/4 inch scale and in a limited amount. It definitely had hours of play during childhood. It eventually broke I think from over usage and the figures lasted a long time after but eventually became very worn and broke. So what toy from you childhood do you wish you still had, rare or not?

Original G.I. Joe Action Figures
I had about 4-5 Original G.I. Joes that came along with several change of clothes including an Air Force Officer as a Colonel. I wished that I had these now - the reason why I don't have them anymore - my dear old Dad threw them out in the garbage 2-3 years before I had a chance to move out of his house.
I had great fun playing with these so called "Action Figures" ...

So many... right now the top 3 I would like to track down- 3) a working Dark Tower electronic board game 2) a working Starbird, electronic spaceship... 1) A complete Mighty Man and Monster Maker set.... I know where I can get a Dark Tower, but it doesn't work unfortunately. Those I have seen functional have been way out of my price range though. The others I have not run across in years.... -M

A great question which makes me wonder if I had a deprived childhood. I can't think of anything. I've seen home movies of me playing with Tonka trucks.I had a cowboy hat and cap pistols. I had silly putty, slinky, those 100 tiny plastic soldiers for $2.99. Lots of board games like Chutes and Ladders,Operation,Risk,Stratego etc. I must have owned hundreds of spaldeens and pensy pinkies. But none of them do I look back on with special fondness
The only thing that comes close would be the baseball glove I owned for many years as a boy. And I had a NY Jet football helmut that, long story short, was signed by 2nd Baseman Ron Hunt of the NY Mets in 1965

I've re-acquired nearly everything I had from my youth that I've missed. All I'm still missing are items that I miss, but not enough so to actually make space for them. Kind of "it would be cool to see that again for about four days, and then I'd grow tired of it." For example, The Other World: Castle Zendo: Or the Fisher Price Adventure Space series:

Prior to the mid 1970s, kids interacted with one another, went outside and played, and, ya'know, had childhoods. But then the baby boomers had kids, spoiled them rotten with toys, and, in exchange, expected them to stay inside and avoid all the dangers they were warned about on the evening news. When I think back on my childhood, I think of toys. It's all I had, but at least it's easy to recapture.

I've actually never came across anyone else that had it. The VW didn't last long, but I had the figures for years after. Then, one day when I was in 2nd grade, my mother accidentally threw out all my toys. Yes, accidentally.

I loved The Man from U.N.C.L.E. as a kid, and I used to have all of these -

Can't get a second picture in. Ah, that's better. Anyway, the only U.N.C.L.E.-related thing I still own is the first board game, and it's in kinda rough shape.
