Thanks for the votes for the master Will Eisner. I was checking in when Foxley tallied the votes, so let's not waste any time starting the new contest. This week, we will celebrate another master...Sept. 18th, 2018 would have been Joe Kubert's 92nd birthday, so this week we are going to go with Joe. Post a cover by Joe Kubert, whether an old favorite, one you just discovered, or just one you think will garner a lot of votes. Here's my entry/sample cover... The rules... - Post one classic cover that fits the theme of the contest. - Cover must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before September 2008. - Covers must be posted before voting begins. - Voting takes place on Tuesday, September 25 2018, beginning at 12:01am PST and ending at 11:59 am PST. - Vote by posting the name of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most. - Put your choice's name in bold. - The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period ends. - The winner chooses the theme for the next week's contest. - If you don't think the cover fits the theme, don't vote for it; please don't post disparaging remarks about it. - If a cover is more recent than the classic time frame, kindly point it out so that the poster can choose an alternate before voting begins. -M (who in no way shape or form received any promotional material or kickbacks from the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning for selecting this topic!)

So many classic covers to choose from. I decided to dig deep and find something a little more obscure:

Late in his carreer Kubert did a few very impressive graphic novels. Showing he had not lost a creative step.

A sentimental favorite; I used to have a really nice copy of this I traded a classmate in high school.
