I am at the Friday 9am showing waiting. I’m surprised that they have no intermission to break up the 3 hours. When is the last time you saw a film in a theater with an intermission break?

I'll share my own Facebook post: AVENGERS: ENDGAME is a satisfying conclusion to a franchise that began with 2008's IRON MAN. It has heart, emotion, pathos, character-driven moments - and plenty of action. And, appropriately, it has humour in the right places. Because even during our darkest moments, humour can get us through it. It's good to watch a film that rewards long-term viewer loyalty - and which ticks all the emotional boxes. I feel I could not have asked the producers, writers, directors and actors for anything more. Definitely giving it 10 out of 10. Oh, and look at this: www.asiaone.com/asia/man-hong-kong-reportedly-beaten-outside-cinema-leaking-avengers-endgame-spoilersYeah, my wife told me about that incident in HK, which isn't far from where we live. People are assholes. Don't feel bad he got his clock cleaned.

While I'd never condone violence, what he did was the equivalent of "poking the bear". He had to know there would be consequences.

Hearing some of the audio from audience reactions uploaded online is great. Wish I could have experienced that myself.

Hearing some of the audio from audience reactions uploaded online is great. Wish I could have experienced that myself. I've seen it twice, and the audience was very different at each showing. Friday morning at 9:00 AM, with the theater 40% full, it was quiet throughout, with little reaction to the "big" moments. I was shocked that people were so emotionless toward it. Saturday morning at 9:00 AM (at 80% capacity), it was the complete opposite. The audience was far more engaged, with clapping, cheering, and gasping at the expected times. There was a lot of energy in the crowd.

I am at the Friday 9am showing waiting. I’m surprised that they have no intermission to break up the 3 hours. When is the last time you saw a film in a theater with an intermission break? Last summer a local synagogue rented a theater and showed the long version of Fiddler on the Roof, complete with intermission. So a recent experience for me, but not a recent movie.

Waiting for it to start right now. I never go to movies first weekend but was tired of avoiding spoilers.
VIP theater. So comfy recliner seats, nobody under 16 and they come by and take concession orders. And only $2 a ticket more.

I'm glad I saw it the first full day. It's almost impossible to avoid spoilers on the net.

I wonder how much of the huge estimated $350 million opening weekend was people who would normally wait until later seeing it now to avoid spoilers and be part of the experience, and how much of it was people seeing it multiple times. I might see it again, but not in the same weekend.

I might see it again, but not in the same weekend. I almost always see the MCU films on opening day, which I did with this one. Because my girls' friends were all seeing it this weekend and I didn't want them to have it spoiled before next weekend, I saw it a second time on Saturday with them and my wife, but this is the first time I've done that. I may go a third time at some point in the next couple of weeks if I have some free time and nothing better to do.

Went today with my family. I really liked it. The subplots involving Iron Man and Capt America really made the movie for me. I will probably see it again later this week to pick up on things I might have missed.
My only complaint was the CGI battle scenes. They just look like a blur to these tired old eyes.

Managed to avoid spoilers until seeing the movie Saturday morning (08:20am) 1st showing. Full house and crowd mixture of small kids to teens to adults. Everyone respectful and quiet when necessary and vocal in cheers and laughs where appropriate. One crazy kick butt of a movie. While it expects viewers having seen either most if not all of the prior movies (are there folks who have only cherry picked and seen just a small handful?) and knowing characters it still manages to connect on so many levels. You laugh, you cheer, you scream, you holler, you cry (anybody pee their pants? I actually made it through the entire movie without a bathroom break) and in the end you leave with love and a smile for all the MU movies have achieved.
Dammit all, 5 hours later at dinner with a friend, I was still choking up with tears when talking about the movie and characters. This morning reading a couple if internet articles I was tearful once more. That is just how powerful and good the writing and acting in these movies have been. Does Endgame have some faults or inconsistencies to be found? Of course, every movie does. But those faults don't ruin or change the experience of seeing this movie. Yes some of the CGU during the big battle finale comes up short but I blame that on trying to do/show so much (which you will miss out on when viewing on your television at home) in as short of a space of time. This one MUST and NEEDS to be seen upon the big screen in order to fully appreciate the quiet, heartfelt moments and the thrills of battle!
I grew up an Avengers fan, reading and collecting the comics and they have ALWAYS been my # team of them all. These movies have been wish fulfillment for me and If you told me as a child to wait until I was an adult for this I would tell you fuggedaboutit in thinking that no movie could ever do justice for my fave team of all time. Child me would be so wrong. Each Avengers movie amplified the fun, the awe and the excitement and has finished on the highest of notes that I could dream of. Thank you Marvel and all of the myriad folks involved in crafting these movies. And most especially thank you to the actors bringing my beloved characters to life. Once an Avenger, always an Avenger. Avengers Assemble...
