What about those who don't use GCD? Some may well get their images from other sources. If those other sources have something indexed that GCD doesn't, well it would seem distracting.

I use mycomicshop just because I can direct link and bypass hosting the image. But I only post single issue comics. I don’t think Ive even posted a TPB cover before. But that’s because I’m not familiar with a lot of the other options in the OP. Not because I take issue with any of the other stuff.

I think the idea was to use GCD as an arbitrary decider of what does or does not qualify, anyone would still be allowed to take their images from wherever.
I like Rob's idea but I don't want to give the impression that I think it's important that any changes be made in the existing format, which has worked fine for all these years. I'm quite happy with things as they are, but since the question was asked, I chimed in with my two cents (now probably worth around $0.000001 since the phrase 'two cents' first came into use).

For the record ... I can accept both Collected Editions and Magazines ... because I'm more familiar to them along with Comic Books and Graphic Novels. According to the votes ... looks like all four these are front-runners and I would like to know the verdict too hondobrode and what is acceptable and not acceptable and add those requirements to the Rules.

I haven't been an active participant in the Classic Comics Covers Competition since the days when this community was still at the old CBR place, but it baffles me how such a simple concept can cause so much consternation. Pick a comic book cover that fits the theme, post it and see who votes for it. It really is that simple.
