It seems like they just dropped the Adam Warlock thing. What makes you say that?

At the end of GOTG2 there is a scene that definitively establishes Warlock's existence. The scene at the end of the first film was essentially a joke.

Was that ever followed up on? There hasn't been a huge lot of opportunity for follow-up in the films since GOTG2. Spider-Man: Homecoming and Black Panther needed to set up those franchises and were very Earth based. Captain Marvel was set in the past and Ant-Man & the Wasp was pretty self-contained. Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame were already jam-packed. The only real place it could have been followed up would have been Thor: Ragnarok and that already had a lot of work to do. My guess is that if they plan to follow up on Warlock (and they may not) it will come out of GotG3 and any following space-based films (Nova, maybe).

I don't think anything will be rebooted. Or rather, anyone. Robert Downey Jr. will forever be Tony Stark in the MCU. Instead, Marvel already seems to be planting the seeds for potential material years down the line. - We already saw Hawkeye training his daughter to be a future archer. She could be the next Hawkeye. Or maybe Kate Bishop. Hopefully more information is revealed in the Disney Plus Hawkeye series. - Scott Lang has a daughter, Cassandra Lang. She's around 16 now. Seems like an easy leap to picture here as Stature from the comics. - Sam will be the new Captain America. Bucky I think eventually goes into the ether. -I get the feeling Dr. Strange, Captain Marvel, and Black Panther will be mainstays with the next Avengers team. Spider Man I don't know. Scarlet Witch I'm not sure, but I hope so. Same goes for Vision. Both will be in a Disney Plus show. Hulk I think will just become a consulting figure like Beast. - Guardians 3 will be very interesting. They could go in many directions. Especially if Thor is apart of the group now. Maybe Adam Warlock is built upon. - Shang Chi is already in development for a film. Don't know if he'll be an Avenger though. - The Eternals are being made. Don't really know anything about that set of stories. - Thanos was a big bad, but down the line they could use someone like Galatcus, Dr. Doom, or Kang the Conqueror. - I hope within the next 7 years The Silver Surfer, Fantastic Four, and X-Men are introduced. While I would like to see Namor worked into the universe, and She-Hulk, I think the obstacle of the film rights will make it too hard to get around. On a personal note, I hope they do Black Knight. I think Marvel can avoid a reboot if they play their cards right. Right now they are ten years into their shared universe, and they've used up Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, and possibly Hawkeye. Thor and Hulk are still on the table, but I don't see them going too many more movies into the future. They still have all the characters from the Infinity Saga era that did not get full trilogies. Tom Holland is a young guy, so Spidey could be potentially be an Iron Man like character in terms of longevity and number of appearances. I could see them going the next ten years with these characters, plus a few new ones, maybe the FF. But I think they are going to play the long game with the X-Men and keep them in their back pocket for as long as possible. Right now, I think the X-Men have reached a saturation point. The movies kept coming from Fox, but I never got the sense that there was the same kind of buzz or excitement for these movies as the MCU films. I think they would do well to let the X-Men lie low for a while, let the existing characters carry the MCU for a while, then introduce the X-Men as they are retiring a second wave of characters. I could see that plan carrying Marvel for for another 20 years. A real issue to consider is whether the MCU will collapse under the continuity of its own weight. I can imagine a scenario where the movies end up doing exactly what the comics are doing -- big event driven stories, editorially-driven stories to service the shared universe at the expense of individual films having their own character, etc.

Seems like an easy leap to picture here as Stature from the comics. I hope none of that happens. I'm aware of Stature in the comics, but even there. was never fond of the children of superheroes becoming superheroes--it brings back memories of those awful World's Finest issues with the sons of Superman and Batman... I think they will trade off the Cap mantle--probably in the wake of some situation that forces Sam to need his Falcon ID more than the Cap side. As Steve's two best friends/surrogate brothers, both carry on his legacy, so if Disney is smart, both characters will be central figures in Marvel productions in addition to the TV show. The MCU longevity will be tested in this new phase; while Dr. Strange as a character is charismatic, I wonder what kind of story will take full advantage of his abilities that had not been plucked for his first film. Although I know Disney would never adapt it, one of Strange's best conflicts was against the Marvel version of Dracula--a perfect clash of comic book supernatural elements. But i'm sure Disney has no interest in bringing a non-superheroic vampire (IOW, not Morbius) into the MCU. So much of the hokey, "My way is like that of the _________"/Bruce Lee movie version of the martial arts was the inspiration for the Shang Chi comic, that I'm wondering how much of it will have to be changed to avoid inspiring eyerolls or outrage as a modern day film from a sub-genre not exactly in vogue (in North America) at the moment. Personally, never a fan, not of the original, or any version since, and will not get into the New Gods debate. At best, that might be a six episode TV series. I cannot see that as a stand-alone movie, no matter how many MCU Easter eggs they stuff into the film.

I can't remember I've posted this, but I would really like to see the Greek gods in the MCU at some point. I really like the Hercules/Zeus tales I read in various The Mighty Thor comics.
I rewatched Hercules: The Legendary Journeys recently. After a few seasons of Greek god action, Hercules encountered the Norse gods, Irish gods, etc. It was refreshing.
So I would love to see Hercules and Zeus in the MCU one day. Or the DCEU.
