Note: I am not looking up how to spell the names of actors because I don't care that much.
1) Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. are leaving the franchise. Who else do you think is on their way out? I mean, Scarlet Johansen probably has better things to do once she gets her solo movie. Chris Hemsworth doesn't want to be the only one of the big three Avengers still left.
1) Who will be the villain in Black Panther 2? Black Panther has 3 villains and BP1 used all of them. Malice? The White Wolf? The KKK? That other collector lady who wasn't Mister Little in Kirby's run who's name I forget?
I guess they had a dude I never heard of as the main villain in Dr. Strange but it seems like slim pickings. Still, if King Solomon's Frog is a major plot point I will be happy.
ALTHOUGH STEGRON THE MOTHER EFFING DINOSAUR MAN IS TECHNICALLY A BLACK PANTHER VILLAIN IF YOU SQUINT! I AM JUST SAYING!!!!
2) Are they going to keep making Avengers movies that is stupid of course they are going to keep making Avengers movies. Who do you think will be the new line-up? I'm honestly hoping for a Spider-Man, Valkyrie, Shang-Chi, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Hawkeye Avengers team.
3) Will there be a new guy playing Captain America and/or Iron Man? I guess Bucky is getting a TV show so he probably won't be the new Cap. Don Cheadle for Iron Man, though, maybe? Maybe Riri Williams from the Bendis run? I'd actually really like to see a young, black, girl Iron Man, but I care 1000 times more "Will this make racist internet shitheads feel bad*" rather than "will this make for a good movie" so I'm biased.
4) Why is there not a Ruffallo Hulk movie. COME ON!
5) So Marvel has the X-men rights back? Next big thing at the end of phase 4 or 5 will be Avengers vs. X-men, I am calling it right now. And it will be every bit as good as the comics.
6) Did you see how Kamala Kahn was not in the Ms. Marvel movie? What is up with that? I think it's important that Marvel utilizes some characters that were not created in 1963 and do not covertly reflect 1963 attitudes. So why are they not showcasing their most important character from the last decade?
7) Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait... Does Marvel have the rights to Galactus back? I try not to get too excited about the monopolistic consolidation of media companies but Avengers and Fantastic Four vs. Galactus? Oooooooh. Damn.
* In my defense internet racist shitheads are the worst. I keep thinking that American culture will evolve beyond that and I keep being dissapointed.

I'm genuinely curious how they will introduce Kamala Khan to the MCU. Her whole M.O. is an homage to Ms. Marvel era Carol Danvers. Carol Danvers is not currently publicly known as a superhero in the MCU, and Marvel has shied away from using superhero codenames. How can she be a Ms. Marvel when there's no Ms. Marvel in the MCU for her to emulate? I could be wrong about this, but I don't think X-Men in the MCU is going to happen for a long time. Every indication from Marvel Studios is that they are going to sit on this property for a while. Post-Endgame, I could see Marvel Studios abandoning the structure of phases that culminate in a massive team-up movie. That's worked for them so far, but it will get repetitive. I think they will stick to periodic big team ups adapted from major comic events (Secret Empire is rumored to be the next event in the works, though not sure how that would work given the characterization of the Skrulls from Captain Marvel), but they may also take a cue from the success of Thor: Ragnarok and make smaller team-ups as way to still play in the shared universe without making everything so epic and grandiose.

But, I mean, if it worked once they have to run it into the ground 'till everyone is bored with it and nobody cares. Don't they have any respect for the source material? Disgusting!

The Hulk is affected by rights related to the Ed Norton film.
I can see them developing an FF film series, sooner, rather than later, just to show up everyone who made a hash of it (rather like Spider-Man). Question is, can they pull it off? Someone talk to Brad Bird.
I have a feeling we will see reboots sooner than later. It's the nature of entertainment conglomerates. They all have ADHD and assume audiences do and short memories.
I'd prefer to see more things along the lines of GOTG and Ant-Man, where they mix comedy and action, while still maintaining a serious story; but, also playing around with expectations. Give these things personality, which is part of why the early phases were a bit uneven.
I would love them to embrace Shang Chi as it was in its glory: Bruce Lee meets James Bond. Problem is, everyone seems to be concerned more about the reception in China than focusing on a good story and film. Come up with that and show some diversity in the Asian characters and I think the Chinese audience will be fine.
I'd like to see them hit some of the more obscure areas, for cool characters with few expectations, like Dominic Fortune. he could easily be the Marvel Indiana Jones, with the right touch (and he predates him, though both pulled from the same well).

Ok, having seen Endgame, I have some predictions/speculations of my own, and some I have seen that intrigue me, but since not everyone has seen it yet, I am going to put it all behind spoiler tags... first a speculation I will share that isn't mine but I have heard often since I have seen the movie:the underwater earthquake near Wakanda mentioned at the beginning of the 5 year jump is a harbinger of the coming of Namor and the introduction of Atlantis into the MCU. My alternate take-it is that this is something to do with the underground Deviant society and is a set up for the Eternals movie in the works
my guess for the next Avengers movie has the remnants of the old team and the new team having to face Kang or Immortus, who comes to this time because the Avengers mucked with time in Endgame. I'd guess the line up will look something like: Black Panther, Antman and Wasp, Sam Wilson as Cap, Wanda, War Machine, Clint (maybe using the extra Pym Particles Cap took to become Goliath), and Carol as a reserve/cavalry called in (as long as they avoid the Marcus storyline with Carol/Immortus from Avengers #200)
my guess is Thor will be in GotG3 which will be called Asgardians of the Galaxy, riffing on Thor's one-liner which riffs on the comic by that name that Marvel put out late last year and the Guardians franchise might introduce some kind of living Celestial as a villain (again setting up the Eternals movie in the works)
It's funny that Reptisaurus should mention Abner Little, as I was thinking with time travel now on the board because of End Game, the Brass Frogs of King Solomon could be in play for an upcoming Black Panther movie since they manipulate time, again possibly setting up a confrontation with Kang or Immortus down the line. and my wild speculation is a quest story involving them could even bring the Savage Land into play-dinosaurs in the MCU? Yes, please! This could bring Ka-Zar into play as well and hey something else could be hidden in the Savage Land-maybe something Eternals related, maybe a long lost team of X-Men (a la GS X-Men #1), etc.
With all the people coming back en masse after Endgame, there will be lots of confusion, and strained relationships, people acting weird, or seeming a little off, which could be a perfect set up for them to introduce a Skrull storyline like Secret Invasion, after showing something odd happened to the Skrulls on their new homeworld after Captain Marvel either in CM2 or in a GOTG related movie.
I expect the next Doctor Strange movie will focus on Mordo as the villain, (with possibly bringing in Nightmare), but I expect something like the Ditko epic in Strange Tales where Mordo has a network of mystical allies harrying Strange who is on the run (with or without Dormammu being behind it all remains to be seen) and leading to the introduction of Eternity and possibly the Living Tribunal.
But I also expect a few smaller scale movies-a Black Widow standalone (most likely a prequel set in the past) showing Nat on some kind of espionage Bond-like mission, the Shang Chi film, and 1 to 2 more solo efforts on a smaller scale (maybe the long rumored Moon Knight, maybe something featuring one of the younger potential heroes (Cassie, Hawkeye's daughter, the kid form Iron Man3 who showed up at Tony's funeral, etc.) coming into their own and assuming a heroic mantle.
As for a Hulk movie, I'd love to see something along the lines of Future Imperfect and the introduction of the Maestro, but they will have to do something to upset Bruce's apple cart and bring back the rage, which could lead to him losing control (and could play on the time travel bits too with the possible future of the Maestro resulting from them having mucked with time in End Game.
It's all guesswork, but I do see them continuing to build on what came before, adapting certain iconic storylines but introducing elements slowly to build up the world and the narrative bit by bit, but alternating the style and tone of the films o it avoids a feeling of bland sameness (something that plagues the Warner efforts with the DC heroes) so lighter more comedic films interspersed with heavier drama style films, espionage or heist capers mixed with cosmic sci-fi, etc. to give fans a varied diet of Marvel fare, and maybe introducing new genres (horror tinged heroes, Indiana Jones lost world style stuff maybe) into the mix to keep things fresh.

Note: I am not looking up how to spell the names of actors because I don't care that much. Don't worry, this isn't the John Byrne Forum - so erroneous spellings don't matter. Great ideas from everyone. I'd like a Defenders movie. And I'm not referring to the Defenders in the MCU TV universe. I'm talking about Hulk, Namor, Dr. Strange, Silver Surfer, etc. Of course, that's just a pipe dream - or a long way off. We'd need a Strange sequel, Hulk sequel and a solo Silver Surfer movie or two before we even bring them together. But although the Avengers films (they'll make more) will be Marvel Studios' bread and butter, I'd like to see the Defenders one day. Benjamin Bratt as Namor, anyone? When I'm head of either Disney or WB, I shall be proposing a merger, folks. So that we can get an adaptation of 1976's Superman VS The Amazing Spider-Man. Regarding the X-Men, I don't necessarily want them interacting with the Avengers. I'd want them separate. Maybe not forever, but too many cooks and all.

Black Panther 2 should have something about the underwater earthquake. Not likely to be Namor/Atlantis but very possible a slight set up towards Eternals/Deviants coming into the MU. I'm seeing Asgardians of the Galaxy jokes aplenty but with only Thor along for the ride it is still going to be GOTG 3. Again with possibly more Eternals set up with the Celestials turning their gaze upon Earth.
IF the plan is for some smaller movies and then more New Avengers movies then perhaps some ongoing credit scenes with Sam/Falcon slowly stepping into the Captain America Role (he has to learn how to use the shield) before fully taking on the mantle and leadership in the next Avengers with Danvers/Captain Marvel being the big POWERHOUSE replacing Hulk/Thor and with Black Panther and giANT-Man or Giant Daughter along for the ride. If they continue to connect ALL the movies then Shang Chi will show up as an Avenger. And there will have to be a NEW Iron-Man carrying Stark's hero forward. It won't be Rhodey though as they will need a younger more physical up and coming person in the role (possibly the boy Stark gave the Lab to in IM 3) like the teen from the funeral stepping up until Morgan is older.
Also if they continue with plot ideas then Monica Rambeu will be old enough to have gained super powers and becoming Photon or Prism or whatever name/power base they come up with for her. Another strong black and female character in a stand alone before making her an Avenger. Along with any possibility of placing a mutant (but who?) not seen before upon Avengers now that the MU has the X-Men rights. And you could easily place Thing or Human Torch into an Avengers role as well.
As suggested, Kang would make a great villain following up on all of the time heisting that just occurred in Endgame. How about a Two-in-one villain attack from the past and future by Rama Tut in one movie and then Kang in another movie as they see opportunity with so much time disruption? And go hog wild and finding some way to connect both to Doctor Doom so you end up with a big Avengers/Fantastic Four in the end for another decades ending movie spectacular?

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is apparently a go for the Disney+ streaming service. So don't expect to see a movie there. Yes, and the Vision and Scarlet Witch series (WandaVision) and the Loki series are also slated for Disney+. It seems like, at least in the short-term, new Avengers content will properly crop on Disney+ to build its subscriber base. That also guards against bad press that might happen if second & third tier Avengers headlined movie bombed relative to the first tier character solo films. Also, given events in the films, the series are unlikely to take place after Endgame. I suspect WandaVision will take place between Civil War and Infinity War. The only MCU movie currently with a fixed release date is Spider-Man: Far From Home this July. According to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wikipedia article, the MCU only has 2 film release dates in 2020. Also, two movies were reported to start filming in 2019 (Black Widow and The Eternals), so I suspect those will be the two 2020 releases. Black Widow is supposedly about her pre-Avengers days. Shang-Chi already has a screenwriter and a director, so there's a good shot that it will the first 2021 release (or one of the 2020 releases if it's closer to filming than they let on). We know that there are already deals for sequels of Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, and Doctor Strange with the original directors. Since James Gunn was hired, then fired, then re-hired, the GOTG vol. 3 release date was pushed back. It was announced that he won't start on GOTG until he's done with the new Suicide Squad film for Warners/DC.

So, lets take stock:
Clearly Hemsworth is not part of the Guardians of the Galaxy.... I suspect they'll do something with the Nova Corps next.
They set up the Loki series here as well, not to mention Falcon and Bucky (I assume it will be Falcon-Cap)
Black Widow could be a combo prequel/set up blonde haired Black Widow
I think BP 2 will be Wakanda vs. Atlantis, no doubt in my mind
Doctor Strange 2 will be more mystical... Nightmare... SHuma Gorath... Mephisto.. plenty to choose from.
Maybe instead of Avengers they do a Champions movie next time? Just to use a different name (like they did with netflix and Defenders)
If we see Hawkeye again, it'll be his daughter, not him, in the Kate Bishop type role
I'd love a PAD-era Pantheon/Future Imperfect lead in Hulk movie.. that would be AMAZING, and Ruffalo could easily pull it off.
I guess we'll see if we get any hints from Spider-Man

They were not part of the Fox rights package they got in the acquisition, they were with Universal, who had a movie in pre-production that stalled, but I don't know if the rights reverted yet. If not, no Namor in the MCU and no Wakanda vs. Atlantis. -M

What, you mean I don't get Benjamin Bratt, George Clooney or Dwayne Johnson as Namor?! This was the status as of a year ago... Namor rights complicatedand I haven't seen anything more recent saying they have been untangled, but it might not be something they announce publicly. MArvel publishing guys say Marvel Studios have the rights, but the head of Marvel Studios (Feige) says not so fast, so who knows. -M

Thanks.
I always thought a Namor movie, and all that Atlantis stuff, could have been the MCU "version" of, say, The Lord of the Rings or Star Wars.
