I have been buying the back issues for Micronauts so I won't need that one, but that's great! Makes business sense too, whoever owns the rights is certainly not doing anything, so why not let Marvel reprint stuff and make a little money.

IDW had the rights to Rom and Micronauts for a while, even published some books, but Marvel got into a legal dispute over who owned the right to (and I hope I'm remembering this correctly) the "Space knights", the lineage of the Dire Wraiths being a subset of The Deviants and "the Microverse". Mantlo also created Bug specifically for the original comic, so they couldn't use him either Anyway, it's nice that they were able to come to some sort of agreement and re-release these books

Now would be a good time to publish Epic Collections for Marvel Two-in-One and the Incredible Hulk where everyone's favourite Space-knight has appearances. I'm sure there's a few others like that. There's an X-men/Micronauts series too, right?

there is.. I just picked it up not too long ago. I know in the Power Man/Iron Fist Epic they just give a one page text summary of what happened in the Rom guest spot.... maybe they'll re-release it? I agree it would be a good time to do those others.. in fact, I think there's a Marvel Two-in-ONe Epic I just ordered in Previews... no idea if it includes that though.

According to Cinebook's social media, filming is about to begin on a Blake & Mortimer film.

The upcoming Marvel Two-in-One Epic doesn't look like it's skipping any issues, but the previous volume omitted one due to an appearance from Doc Savage. Rom appears in Marvel Two-in-One issue 99, right at the end of the series, so that would still be a few volumes away. They're always publishing the Epic Collections out of order anyways, so if Marvel's current agreement lets them reprint Rom's appearances in other titles, they should definitely take advantage of it while they can. The Power Man & Iron Fist, Incredible Hulk and Marvel-two-in-one issues with Rom are included in the recent Omnibus collections, so I assume they'll be included in the upcoming Rom Epics, but it would be nice to have these issues included in their own respective Epic collections where they belong.

Totally missed that. Some of it is summarized here. It's a long, somewhat convoluted story, essentially he sold it to his investors when he was in his 20s, and continued to be the public face of the property for like 20 years before he had a falling out with those folks around 2019. -M

Anyone want to guess which established comic publisher is using this as their new logo? See if you can guess. Answer behind spoilers. That's IDW. I can see an I and D in their but W, nope not clearly and not squinting. For a company that is undergoing as much financial turmoil as that, a rebrand is not a bad idea, but it looks more like they are trying to hide who they are than establish who they are. Doesn't seem like money well spent, but then again, maybe they couldn't afford a better graphic designer [/spoil]

IUD. VD. ID Comics, Arch-nemesis of Ego Comics. Yeah, I know what it is. Saw it earlier. But it’s ugly as sin and could be any of those.

Apparently DC announced today at NYCC they are bringing back the Vertigo imprint. Not sure what will happen to Black Label, but the creator owned books currently published as Black Label (like Tynion's Nice House by the Sea) are being rebranded as Vertigo.

Unless they're now just going with ID Comics and Entertainment, I can't see the W anywhere in there. Okay maybe I see it a little if you just look at the bottom part of the red shapes, below the line, but then then the I and the D aren't clear. Before I clicked on the Spoiler, I was squinting and looking at the negative space thinking it might be an H, possibly a new imprint for Hasbro's licensed properties, which is ironic since that used to be a big part of the old IDW.
