Here's another favorite costume poll. As with Angel, this is more about the costumes than that I think he's a fantastic character or anything. Wonder Man has had a lot of costumes, and frankly, a lot of them have been less than impressive. So which one is your favorite? Original costume 70's return from death (AKA Perez redesign) Safari jacket Green uni with jet pack Sleeveless with gold arm bands Sleeveless with red arm bands Late solo series Energy being

I voted for 70's return from death, though the image I selected isn't the best representation of it. I guess I am a sucker for the red-yellow-green color combination. I think this is maybe a better look at it:

He had the safari jacket when I started reading him in comics and that is the only one for me.
The green unitard is the absolute worst. The ones after it are okay but I just love the jacket. It was perfect for a guy who wasn't totally comfortable being a superhero and really wanted to be doing something else, like acting.

I like the solo series costume. Admittedly, I'd never seen it until now. I grew up on the sleeveless costume, which I never liked. Seemed like the Jersey Shore look before Jersey Shore. Of course, Safari Jacket is the classic standard.

I know the safari jacket has a lot of supporters, and I sort of expected it to win this poll, but for me, one of the big appeals of comics is brightly colored spandex! To me, Simon just looks like an ordinary guy with the jet pack "costume".

I'm going to go crazy and vote for the original. it's not perfect, and the weird ribbon around his midsection feels like a mistake, but something about it always grabs me.

Perez 70's return for me. Reminds of the original with updates style. Only problem is the colors were always too "bright" and would work better in a darker range. And the leggings should have been green and the boots red for symmetry and cohesiveness to the original design.

I like the Perez version even though it's garish.
My problem with the safari jacket is that he looks to me like a THUNDER Agent.

Safari jacket. By a country mile. It's actually the only one up there that I like, but it's also one of my all-time favorite looks.

I'm going to go crazy and vote for the original. it's not perfect, and the weird ribbon around his midsection feels like a mistake, but something about it always grabs me. I picked the original as well; the ribbon / ribbing around his mid section always gave the impression that it was based on / inspired by old power conduits one would see on an industrial generator, and that plays into Wonder Man's initial presentation as a being with overwhelming energy. Very Cold Ear era design, and the most fitting for the character.

Count me in as a fan of the safari jacket. I liked the idea of a costume that A) didn't scream "Hey, I'm a super-hero costume!" at me, and B) looked like something a real person could wear without looking like an idiot (sorry, cosplayers). If they get around to bringing Simon into the MCU, I hope they give him a variation of this look.

Safari Jacket; had a nice Doc Savage touch that made him stand out. I liked the styling of Perez's design; but, it needed alteration. The green shad is fine; but, it needed a deeper red and I would have kept the abdomen section green and made the diamond, formed by th W and M red. I'd also have pointed boot tops, with the gold piping.
I like the original and never had an issue with it. I always assumed the ribbon thing was an attempt to indicate a knit ribbing or something, though it might have been an attempt at braiding, ala 19th Century military jackets. Give him a shako or peaked cap and he would look like he is in a marching band.

Safari jacket all the way - I love the way his "guy on the street" look contrasted with that of his garishly-clad team-mates, esp. since he was almost as a strong and invulnerable as Thor or Hulk.
