Maybe because Flashpoint was the launching point for the new52? (Just Guessing...) Actually now that Rebirth has healed many of my New52 wounds I've found Flashpoint easier to read/watch. (I can't be the only one) Here's my question.... which soundtrack do you hear with eaach Flash? For the longest time my Go-to Wally/Flash theme was the End titles to the 1990 Flash pilot. But now there are definite beats that fit in with Classic Wally's regaining his powers that match I Have to try from the New Flash score

BTW for Season 3 Wally West will become Kid-Flash
The big question is will it be a version of Kid-Flash after Barry messsd up the timeline or will he be Kid Flash after Barry puts things back to normal?

Bleeding Cool is reporting that Jon Wesley Shipp has been promoted to series regular. More Jay Garrick for everyone! I would think he's likely to be playing Henry Allen as a regular, given that Barry changing the timeline may well have undone Henry's death.

"FLASHPOINT"
Okay, I saw the episode and it was cool! It opens with Barry in his new life. A few things that are different from the FLASHPOINT books are, that Barry retains his speed anmd doesn't have to go through the process of recreating the storm, and also he is still aware he changed things. He didn't wake up from a nap as the book opens. And he is at Jitters trying to work up the nerve to meet Iris and ask her out. to me that was kind of boring since we see this in Season one, but at least he finally does it. News hits that the Rival is causing trouble and a call goes out to the Flash. Barry speeds over there and finds Wally as the new Flash/Kid-Flash but isn't aware of it until the next incounter. Oh and one thing that is cool is when Barry heads to work there is a new police captain played by actor Alex Desert (Julio from the 90's Flash series). I love how this show keeps paying homage to the old Flash series no matter how small! However as Barry starts to enjoy his new life with his parents alive he starts to lose his memories of the old timeline.
The captured Thawne tries to warn Barry but of course he doesn't listen. When Barry meets Kid-Flash again and learns it's Wally, he also finds out that Iris shares Wally's secret, but they have kept it from Joe, who in this timeline is a cop with a drinking problem. Barry, Iris, and Wally goes to what was STAR LABS now owned by a very rich Cisco and get his help when Rival becomes a problem too big for Wally to handle. At around this point Barry reveals the truth about himself and that he changed the timeline. Barry "Kidnaps Caitlin who is now a ophthalmologist and they come up with a plan for Flash & Kid-Flash to take down the Rival. Barry is able to do it but Wally is badly injured and does not have the "speed-healing" that Barry has. Barry started to lose a few more memories and his powers and realizes that Thawne is right and he must let him go back in time to kill his mother, because things are worse for the people around him. Barry with Iris goes to his parents for a final hug & goodbye before letting Thawne out. Thawne carrying Barry goes back to kill Nora and then drops Barry off at Joe's house just where it all started at the end of Season 2. Thawne "taughts' Barry that the timeline did not reset all the way. When Barry goes inside Joe & Wally greet him but finds that Iris is not there and that She and Joe have not spoken to each other in years.
Barry says to himself "What have I done?"
The ending tag is where Edward Clariss (The Rival) is confronted by an unknown voice giving him the message "Alchemy".
The only problem I have with this episode is that I think FLASHPOINT should have been more then one episode before Barry's Mom is killed again. Granted, the timeline is still messed up a bit, but I just think the title deserved to at least be a 2 parter. It will be interesting to see what Barry notices of other things out of place besides Iris & Joe not talking. Looks like the Reverse Flash got the last laugh after all.

"Paradox"
Okay this episode was good. Barry learns several changes to the restored timeline: Iris has not forgiven Joe for not telling her that her mother was alive, Cisco is angry with him for not altering the timeline to save his brother Dante, and he has a new CSI partner, Barry learns several changes to the restored timeline: Iris has not forgiven Joe for not telling her that her mother was alive, Cisco is angry with him for not altering the timeline to save his brother Dante, and he has a new CSI partner, Barry learns several changes to the restored timeline: Iris has not forgiven Joe for not telling her that her mother was alive, Cisco is angry with him for not altering the timeline to save his brother Dante, and he has a new CSI partner, Julian Albert (Tom Felton), who does not like or trust him. Barry decides to travel back again to fix the damage, but he is intercepted in 1998 by Jay Garrick. Jay tells Barry that the timeline never resets exactly and he has to learn to live with his mistakes. Meanwhile, Clariss has visions of "Flashpoint" and locates the person responsible, Alchemy, who restores Clariss' powers and full "Flashpoint" memories. Barry tells the team about the timeline's alterations before confronting Clariss at an abandoned warehouse. Alchemy is there as well, saying that he is "preparing this world" for a future event. Cisco arrives and helps Barry defeat Clariss, who is then incarcerated in Iron Heights. The team determines that Alchemy is creating other metahumans from "Flashpoint" whom they need to track down. Cisco and Barry become reconciled, as do Iris and Joe. Caitlin is secretly revealed to have gained cryokinetic powers. Things I liked nice to see Cisco in the field fighting with Barry as Vibe. Also we see Barry visiting Felicity Smoak at the Arrow Cave and we learned so far what Barry changed over there was that instead of Diggle having a baby girl named "Sara", he has a baby boy named "John Jr." Not a big surprise since we learned from Legends of Tomorrow that Future Green Arrow is Digg's son John Jr. So now we know that he exists because of Barry's mistake. Not sure if I li8ke out Cailtin being Killer Frost. Even though she is suppose to be in the comics, I kind of like her on Team Flash. It will be kind of sad if Barry has to fight her if she becomes evil, but it will also be another thing that Barry will feel guilty about. Doctor Alchemy I'm looking forward to this season I remember him in the old silver age Flash comics. I wonder if Julian Albert will become a villain at some point. I kind of think he will since Felton seems to play unlikable characters like in Rise of the Planet of the Apes and of course when he was Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter Films.

So...
Barry and Reverse-Flash went back to stop Barry from saving Nora Allen. The Reverse-Flash that existed at that point faded away, and the other version of Reverse-Flash took his place, and killed Nora. Reverse-Flash then brought Barry back to the present, and took off.
So apparently Reverse-Flash was never stuck in the past, was never there to take the identity of Harrison Wells, never engineered the accident that created the Flash several years early. So how was Barry transformed into the Flash before the year 2020? And what happened to the original Wells? How did ANYTHING shown over the first two seasons happen without Eobard Thawne being trapped there and causing the entire chain of events?
