I really like how they try to pay homage to the first FLASH show now and then.

So i've been going through this Reverse Flash thing in my mind and here's what i've come up with
No real spoilers as I'me dealing with stuff we've seen in prior episodes Thawne has been trapped in the present for fifteen years (said to Cisco in Out of Time0 His powers were so heavily depleted that he could no longer time-travel and his speed has recently been running out (as seen in the Sound and the fury) He said to Barry that they've fought many times. Now obviously he has fought Barry many times and Barry will be fighting him long after this season. (The Man in the Yellow suit) But! Somewhere down the line, they're going to have to re-introduce him as a younger Thawne that becomes the Reverse Flash and starts fighting Barry backward and foreward through time.(Next season?) That means that Wells/Thawne will either die (broken neck scenario) or phase out )the way past-Barry phased out when his future self jumped back a day at the end of Out of Tme.

Just a friendly reminder that posting spoilers about episodes of TV shows that are less than one month old is not allowed in the forum, as detailed in the Rules of the Road here... classiccomics.boards.net/thread/54/guide-classic-comics-forum-rulesI have had to edit Golddragon71's above post to include spoiler tags, since he's revealing important information about the newest episode. Please bear this in mind when contributing to this thread. Many thanks everyone. I read the instructions on spoiler tags and I'm still a bit confused. Do we use "( )" in the wrap around of the text?

Episode 18 "All Star Team Up" I thought Eddie, Joe and Barry teaming up to open the episode was cleverly shot. Some of The Atom and Felicity interacting with the S.T.A.R. Labs team was fun. Nice to see Emily Kinney show up as the Bug-Eyed Bandit. Bee puns! I wonder if Cisco remembering the alternate timeline might somehow lead to him getting powers like Vibe in the comics. Glad to see Caitlin and Cisco in the know about Dr. Wells.

Nice to see a team up between my third and fourth favorite members of the Satellite era JLA. The Atom's entrance with the subtle reference to Routh's "other role" was great.

Episode 19 "Who is Harrison Wells?" Okay this was a great episode! I loved the moments between Cisco & Laurel and Joe & Lance. I liked how Joe was trying to get Lance to at least start the healing process with Laurel. And Cisco helping Laurel with his sonic scream was cool! Can't wait to she here use it on Arrow. The Villain this week was good, although I thought Berry was kind of stupid to be tricked so easily by the fake Eddie, but I loved Caitlin's reaction to the fake Berry kissing her! Finally, They learn the real Wells is dead! And the ending where Berry, Cisco & Caitlin find Thawne's secret room at STAR Labs was about damn time!

What find ironic about the storyline is as Wells/Thawne told Cisco, he didn't mean to kill Nora Allen. he was trying to kill young Barry so the Flash would not exist, and now that he is trapped in the past, he had to create Barry to become the Flash in order to return to his time.

Episode 20 "The Trap" Love that Barry, Cisco and Caitlin finally discovered Dr. Wells is the Reserve Flash. Cisco geeking out was kind of funny especially him dropping another Back to the Future reference. I really do hope they update Barry's costume because the future version looks so much better. Surprised to learn that Barry created Gideon in the future and I thought it was cool Gideon nearly name dropped the Justice League. I'm hoping that Cisco remembering the alternate timeline has something to do with his powers from the comics. Interesting use of The Flash's powers during the fire rescue scene. Tom Cavanagh gives a great performance in this episode super creepy. Wasn't expecting him use Hannibal Bates like that but nice call back to last week. Iris finally knows Barry is The Flash. I'm really excited about Grodd next week.

Episode 21 "Grodd Lives" Thought the action during the gold robbery scenes was pretty good. Caitlin and Cisco justifying ease dropping on Barry and Iris made me laugh. Tom Cavanagh was truly scary when he Reverse Flashed out on Eddie. I liked the reveal that General Eiling was the masked man in body armor. Loved the scene with Grodd speaking through Eiling. The sewer scenes were pretty intense and Grodd looked excellent. Grodd catching Barry mid super sonic punch was great and I really enjoyed the rest of their fight.
