How on Earth did we forget this travesty? I'm really starting to think that someone was spiking the watercoolers at Marvel and DC from from around 1992-1997. That, or there was an overstimulated 13 year old (a REAL 13 year old as apposed to Rob Liefeld) secretly masterminding all this nonsense from a dark bullpen in the netherworld. I don't get it. This is just taking the classic design, changing the colors and tweaking the details. As far as 90s redesigns go it's pretty tasteful and a much better "Armored Spider" design than the Stark armor or even the armor used in End of the Earth. As for my own nomination, I have to say it's this:

Hulk suffered quite a bit in the 90s.
If anyone is interested in hearing about superhero costumes from a fashion perspective Tim Gunn has a few pretty interesting videos on the subject, including a full rundown of Green Lantern costumes:

Being dressed as a glitterball is tasteful?? Was he teaming up with Dazzler?

After debuting in this great costume, with awesome staff/star sceptre and amulet, why on Earth did anyone think it was a good idea to change to this monstrosity with thigh-high boots, silly helmet and no amulet/staff/sceptre? I'd also go for the excellent vo.1 of Knights of Pendragon (especially Albion) to the completely dull vol.2. Compare the original KoP to this - both Union Jack by the way

I far preferred the original Captain Britain costume as well, though I did eventually get used to the new one.

As for my own nomination, I have to say it's this: I didn't mind the Professor Hulk in a jumpsuit. It kinda suited his personality at the time, and he could carry scientific gadgets around in it if he chose to. (He could have zipped it up, too, I suppose.) The problem was that it should have been purple!

Does Captain Britain always have those boots when he's in that costume? I like that look a lot (minus those boots, of course). The original is pretty sharp too, though.

I hated this abomination from around the Avengers 390's. Hawkeye never looked worse.
