I like the Jay Garrick Flash costume, but the Barry Allen Flash costume might be my all-time favorite superhero costume. I'm very surprise to see Frankie Raye here. I remember her becoming Galactus's herald, then taking off for space, and I don't really remember her in the comics after that, though I think I saw her in the Silver Surfer cartoon from the late 90's. I remember Fury a bit from Infinity, Inc. which was a title I enjoyed, but otherwise don't know anything about her. I'll agree that the alternating yellow and white streaks in her hair look silly. So if Giant Man your favorite Hank Pym identity then, Mecha? Frankie Raye was one of my favorite redheads along with Jean Grey of X-Men and that's why I had her in my list. Giant Man is my favorite Hank Pym Character. I can't think of them now, but it seems like there have been a lot of redheads in comics. A far greater proportion than in the real word. Medusa and Maxima just off the top of my had without any though, but I almost feel like this is something else that could get its own thread - redheads in comics.

Honestly I prefer the Golden Age DC heroes over their Silver Age versions. I became obsessed with the JSA when I read the first JLA/JSA crossover. I've said this before, but I grew up with Hal Jordan's Green Lantern. And "my" Doctor is the Seventh Doctor (Sylvester McCoy). Would things be different had I been born 10 or 20 years earlier? Not that that always matters. I have an affinity for 50s Batman tales despite not being alive then. I don't necessarily feel Spidey's 80s exploits are my favourite even though I grew up in the 80s. So the period in which one grows up isn't always relevant (not saying that about you, only me). It does make me think, though, what if I'd grown up with Alan Scott rather than Hal Jordan? I agree that Hal Jordan is "my" Green Lantern, and Tom Baker is my Doctor, by the way. I usually do go for the ones I grew up with, though the JLA/JSA did make me fall in love with the JSA. I loved those crossovers! They were special events and usually my favorite JLA stories.

Avatar Picture #44 Hawkman DC Comicsmysticstamp.com I totally forgot that this picture was used in the Comic Book and I should known better; but to be honest ... that I found this picture through a stamp from the United States Post Office and I was mailing a birthday card to a friend in Colorado who is a Hawkman fan. It was an easy one to do and took me 3 minutes to get it done. I was even considering using this picture ... but, no sale! 44 Down, 56 to Go.

Avatar Picture #39 Green Arrow DC Comics When they (whoever "they" were) needed a Green Arrow pic for the stamp, they couldn't find one suitable. The one they used was adapted by Mike Royer from a Kirby drawing of Bullseye.

This was the image that immediately sprang to mind for me when someone mentioned great Kubert work on Hawkman. I mean, how else did Katar think this encounter would go?

Avatar Picture #48 Huntress HB DC ComicsSource Picture Another easy one and I had no problems creating it. Avatar Picture #49 Huntress HW DC ComicsRejected Picture I just can't find the picture below: I even wrote down and bookmarked it and the web-site is gone and that's why I'm doing 2 for 1 today and got 49 done so far. It is frustrating to see web-site disappear like this. Anyway, it was another easy one to do. For the record, I'm going to re-think my list to make it simple and easier from now on ... give me a day or two to think about it and hopes this will be better for all of us here in CCF.
