Amazing that Paul Smith asked to be taken off of top-selling X-Men to do Doctor Strange. I didn't realize that. That was a sad day for me, as I despised the work by his successor, John Romita jr.

Surprised at your Green Arrow costume choice. Most readers forget about his first costume.

There was a Green Arrow stamp? I never knew that. Cool! Yes, as Michael say, it was interesting to choose Green Arrow' original costume. Likewise, I was surpised in the Brave & Bold cartoon that they went with that Green Arrow, though I think it was a good choice for that cartoon.
I've always liked Alan Scott's costume. Colorful, and I do have a thing for purple, which isn't used often in superhero costumes.
That's a shame about not being able to find Hal's source picture. Oh well, you're still doing a great job, Mecha.

I like the Jay Garrick Flash costume, but the Barry Allen Flash costume might be my all-time favorite superhero costume.
I'm very surprised to see Frankie Raye here. I remember her becoming Galactus's herald, then taking off for space, and I don't really remember her in the comics after that, though I think I saw her in the Silver Surfer cartoon from the late 90's.
I remember Fury a bit from Infinity, Inc. which was a title I enjoyed, but otherwise don't know anything about her. I'll agree that the alternating yellow and white streaks in her hair look silly.
So if Giant Man your favorite Hank Pym identity then, Mecha?

I like your Elongated Man choice. He's had a lot of costumes, and most of them not very good, but I think that's his best one. Totally agree. He really had some lame costumes until this one. Does anyone know who designed it?The costume in the avatar? Carmine Infantino.

Giant Man is my favorite Hank Pym Character.

We can no longer be friends or even forum acquaintances. Honestly I prefer the Golden Age DC heroes over their Silver Age versions. I became obsessed with the JSA when I read the first JLA/JSA crossover. I've said this before, but I grew up with Hal Jordan's Green Lantern. And "my" Doctor is the Seventh Doctor (Sylvester McCoy). Would things be different had I been born 10 or 20 years earlier? Not that that always matters. I have an affinity for 50s Batman tales despite not being alive then. I don't necessarily feel Spidey's 80s exploits are my favourite even though I grew up in the 80s. So the period in which one grows up isn't always relevant (not saying that about you, only me). It does make me think, though, what if I'd grown up with Alan Scott rather than Hal Jordan?

But I did grow up with Hal. It's just when I discovered heroes from the 40s I enjoyed their stories so much.
