As Action Ace did for your Top 50 DC Superheroes list, I'll follow along and give my thoughts on where your choices would fall on my list.
#50 Puck - would not have made my Top 50, and probably not even my Top 100. Only ever read one decent story with him in it (not that I've ever read that much Alpha Flight).
#49 Snowbird - not in my Top 50, and nowhere near my Top 100. Just not an interesting enough character.
#48 Vindicator - not in my Top 50, but she would probably sneak into the very bottom of the Top 100.
#47 Shaman - not in my Top 50, and would not make my Top 100. To be honest, I'd forgotten all about him until I saw him on your list.
Looking forward to the rest of your list. Keep up the great work!

In prep for this list, I did figure out my top 50 Marvel characters (not just heroes), so I would have a baseline to compare. Pym is your first choice that made my list, coming in at 34. While the Yellowjacket costume is my favorite of his costumes, the Yellowjacket persona, and the phase of Pym's personality portrayal that came with it, is my least favorite of the eras of Pym. I much preferred Pym as Goliath or the more recent portrayals of him as science hero than the whiny, insecure, unstable Pym he was while Yellowjacket. If they had coupled the better portrayals of Pym's personality with the heroic identity of Yellowjacket in terms of looks and powers, he might have landed higher on my list.

I remember as a kid I always thought they looked pretty cool.

Number 44 - AuroraAlter Ego - Jeanne-Marie Beaubier Team Affiliations - Alpha Flight, X-Men, and other teams as well. Created by - Chris Claremont Illustrated by - John Byrne Abilities Superhuman speed and durability, Flight, Light manipulation and projection Interesting Fact - Aurora has suffered from disassociate identity disorder for some time: Jeanne-Marie represented her more prim and proper persona while Aurora represented Jeanne-Marie's more outgoing, repressed personality traits. The personalities were later merged into one relatively healthy personality although her sanity has deteriorated in recent years and they split again. Familiarity Rating - 1, but like her anyway! Reason for Rank: I like Aurora and because I read Alpha Flight for 3 years and I understand that she is a twin brother of Northstar - she was a very difficult superhero to gauge in and therefore I could not figure her out.

Number 43 - GuardianAlter Ego - James "Mac" MacDonald Hudson, Jr Team Affiliations - Alpha Flight Created by - John Byrne Illustrated by - Various Artists Abilities Physical attributes enhanced to peak of human potential, Flight, Personal force field, and Ability to fire energy blasts. Interesting Fact - He is a leading petrochemical engineer and scientist for the Am-Can Corporation developing a powered exoskeleton suit. When he learns that his work will be used for American military purposes, Hudson raids his workplace, steals the prototype suit and destroys the plans. Familiarity Rating - 10 Reason for Rank: One of two favorites Alpha Flight Members - him and Sasquatch. Sasquatch is on my list of 50 Marvel Characters ... when I think of Alpha Flight, I think about these two characters and only these two characters - The Guardian is one of the most resourceful Alpha Flight member and having said that he's rightly deserved this ranking.

Hank Pym would have definitely made my top 10. I love the Ant-Man phase of his career and even really liked the initial introduction of him as Yellow Jacket!

#46 Yellowjacket - Hank Pym is much higher on my list than yours (#30 on mine). He's integral to the history of the Avengers, and while his later characterizations ultimately hinged on one action, he has always been a compelling character.
#45 Northstar - not in my Top 50, but he would probably be Top 80 if I went down that far.
#44 Aurora - like her brother, not in my Top 50 either, and she would have a hard time cracking the Top 100, although she might squeak in at the bottom.
#45 Guardian - he'd be in my Top 75, but he does not make the Top 50 for me.
I certainly understand how your list has started, as you have an strong affinity for Alpha Flight while I have none at all; conversely, my list is equally influenced by the titles that I have grown fond of over the years.
Keep 'em coming!

Is the Yellowjacket entry just for that guise only or is it for Hank Pym overall?

Good question as there are characters that have had multiple identities in the Marvel Universe.

And I couldn't make a list with more than one Hank Pym entry, and he would be in my top 100 but not my top 50. None of Alpha Flight would make it, but I've only read a limited amount.
