Black Widow and Black Bolt would both be pretty high on my list, definitely top 50, likely top 25.
Medusa and Black Cat would be in my top 100. (Maybe higher. Can't say for certain without more thought)

I've never understood the appeal of the Inhumans. It's kind of the way most comic readers who are not hardcore Legion fans feel about the Legion really.... -M Touche...

I could agree with Black Widow and Black Bolt in the top 50 (as if my opinion is anymore important than Fate or others) If its a Gene Colan Black Widow then she's Top 20.

Created by - Roy Thomas Illustrated by - Gene Colan Abilities Superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and durability, Energy projection and absorption Flight Interesting Fact - The character debuted in the title Marvel Super-Heroes as an officer in the United States Air Force and Security Chief of a restricted military base, where Danvers meets Dr. Walter Lawson, the human alias of alien Kree hero Captain Marvel. Familiarity Rating - 7 Reason for Rank: Strong, Resourceful, and one of the many female powerhouses in Marvel that I truly like but for some unknown reasons I have a hard time liking her and therefore she can go no higher than number 38 on my countdown.

The only Danvers stuff I've read is DeConnick's previous Captain Marvel, but I think she'd make my list pretty high just on the strength of that series. I believe I have a collection or two from her black costume Ms Marvel days around here somewhere, that I really need to read.

Number 37 - The FalconAlter Ego - Samuel Wilson Team Affiliations - Avengers, Mighty Avengers, three other teams as well. Created by - Stan Lee Illustrated by - Gene Colan Abilities Empathic link with pet falcon, Ability to see through the eyes of nearby birds, Flight via wing harness, Excellent bird trainer, and Skilled martial artist and gymnast Interesting Fact - The Falcon's deceased nephew was the Incredible Hulk's sometime-sidekick Jim Wilson, one of the first openly HIV-positive comic-book characters. Familiarity Rating - 5 Reason for Rank: Through his association with Captain America and Bucky - I find him quite resourceful, brave, and knows how to go to battle with a purpose of a mind. If Falcon wasn't associated with Captain America - I would never put him in my top 50, but in the top 100 heroes of Marvel Universe.

Number 38 - Ms Marvel Carol Danvers One of a very small number of female supporting characters to really cross over and become the "hero" of her own story. Much respect. Terrific pick.

Falcon did not make my list, but Carol Danvers (Ms./Capt. Marvel/Binary) came in at #23, just behind Black Widow on my list.

I actually just finished reading the 50 issue run of Captain Marvel by Brian Reed from 2005 or so. It was OK for the most part (why I had this put to the side rather than getting sold with the rest of my collection is something I can't answer).
The Falcon?- Well I can appreciate him being an important character in diversifying Marvel when he was introduced. But besides being black he just a very boring character. And c'mon, he's what? the 49th superhero with wings? And he talks to a bird? Give me Luke Cage or The Black Panther any day of the week. They're much more well rounded

Number 36 - The WaspAlter Ego - Janet van Dyne Team Affiliations - Avengers, Mighty Avengers, and Henry Pym. Created by - Stan Lee Illustrated by - Jack Kirby Abilities Size manipulation, Flight, Bio-electric energy blasts, and Telepathic insect control Interesting Fact - Though she takes leaves of absence throughout the series, she is one of the longest active (The Avengers) members and has acted as leader of the team for longer than any other member save for Captain America. Familiarity Rating - 10 Reason for Rank: Through her long-standing association with the Avengers; The Wasp; although was the weak link of the team, but later on became one of the smartest and craftiest of its members. And, that alone she deserved this ranking at Number 36.

Number 35 - QuicksilverAlter Ego - Pietro Maximoff Team Affiliations - Avengers, Mighty Avengers, X-Factor, and Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Created by - Stan Lee Illustrated by - Jack Kirby Abilities Superhuman Speed Notes: Regarding his speed, originally capable of running at the speed of sound; exposure to the High Evolutionary's Isotope E made it possible for the character to run at supersonic speeds of up to Mach 10 and resist the effects of friction, reduced oxygen, and kinetic impact while moving at super-speeds. The character's speed allows him to perform feats such as create cyclone-strength winds; run up walls and cross bodies of water. Interesting Fact - The character first appears with his twin sister, the Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff), as a part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Familiarity Rating - 10 Reason for Rank: The character initially appears as an antagonist to the X-Men, although before long he becomes a member of the Avengers and appears as a regular character in that title beginning with Avengers #16 in May 1965. He has made numerous other appearances in that title, and other related titles, sometimes as a member of the team, sometimes as an ally, and sometimes as an antagonist. Having said this - he is one of the most interesting character in Marvel Universe.

#38 Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers) - she's a little higher on my list, coming in at #31. She's a female character who isn't defined by a relationship she's in but rather by her own abilities. Her long history, dating back to her encounters with Mar-Vell, is compelling, even if she is part of one of the worst storylines ever.
#37 The Falcon - I'm a big Sam Wilson fan, due to my love for Captain America, but he only clocks in at #43 on my list. Away from Steve Rogers, he's never really done much on his own, so I'm interested to see what happens now that he's taken over the CA mantle.
#36 The Wasp (Janet van Dyne) - Jan comes in at #45 on my list. I've never been a huge fan, but I respect the fact that Marvel developed her from a flighty fashionista into a strong, capable hero in her own right.
#35 Quicksilver - Pietro is #33 on my list, as he has been a long-time favorite of mine. He's a character that seems to be very one-note until you read the classic X-Factor #87, which explains why he is the way he is.

Number 34 - Sasquatch Alter Ego - Walter Langkowski Team Affiliations - Alpha Flight Created by - John Byrne Illustrated by - Various Artists Abilities Brilliant scientific mind, Ability to transform his body into a massive, orange-furred form, While transformed: Superhuman strength, endurance, durability, and stamina, Regenerative healing factor, Sharp claws and teeth, and Ability to leap vast distances Interesting Fact - He is also a former football player for the Green Bay Packers. Familiarity Rating - 10 Reason for Rank: My favorite Alpha Flight Character of all-time - His battle with the Incredible Hulk in one adventure was legendary. He's resourceful, intelligent, and most of all goes into battle with a plan of which makes him one of the savviest of all Alpha Flight Members. When, I think of Alpha Flight - I think of Sasquatch and he's the premier Superhero on that team along side of Vindicator ... later Guardian. He's deserved this rank at 34. Last of the Alpha Flight Characters
