There's quite a variety to choose from here. Some have only appeared in one issue, and some are much more familiar. So which is your fave? I'm a little disappointed that there's no leg warmers outfit from the 70's but oh well, at least we've got the headband. 1. Original 2. 70's Solo Series 3. Red Tights 4. Lace-up Boots 5. Gown 6. Full Spandex Suit 7. Headband & skirt 8. Long Boots 9. Shorts & Lace-Up Boots 10. Buccaneer Boots 11. Peter David Red Skirt 12. Peter David White Shirt Bare Midriff 13. Blue Shirt Bare Midriff 14. New 52

Tough. I love the original, but I also love the plated shirt of the Headband & skirt outfit, and I am actually leaning towards the Peter David Red Skirt outfit.

Supergirl only really worked for me in the Jim Mooney days so it's hard to vote against that. But despite never having seen a full episode of the cartoon, I always appreciated the '90s Animated Series look.

My favourite would actually be the one Kara wore for the first few seasons of the current TV show, but barring that I really liked the '70s one (with boots, as pointed out by zaku). It wasn't overdesigned, and while it was clearly inspired by Superman's costume, it wasn't simply a feminine version of it.

I'm a little disappointed that there's no leg warmers outfit from the 70's but oh well, at least we've got the headband. I'm torn between: As it was the perfect feminine, stylistic compliment to Superman's costume, and really had no reason to change. It's inspiration from Action Comics #156 (May, 1951): ...had the right idea. In fact, they could have used the red skirt for Supergirl, and that would have been as much a visual bookend to Superman (red trunks, red dress) as the actual costume from 1959. If change had to come, this was not a bad choice, and very reflective of the relaxation in clothing styles for women in this era. Well remembered as the corner symbol for her run in Adventure Comics, and used as box art for her 8-inch action figure as part of Mego's World's Greatest Super-Heroes line from the 1970s: [/quote]

Yeah, I was tempted to let people have more than one vote, but I went with just one vote, to make you suffer!

They're sort of using the Full Spandex Suit in the tv series this season and I like that. Voted for the original as the most timeless however, but the '70s hot-pants with ballet slippers was very '70s.

I guess the funkos crowd would vote red skirt... I could get really into trouble wanting goofy toys like this though... Don't ask about my calico critters/sylvanian families craze of a few years ago.

I think those are changeable hands, the one hand on Superboy looks like a fist. This set in the box seems to be around $50 to get now, don't know what the price was originally.

I went with 70s, but with the boots, as cited before. It kind of differentiated her more and gave her more personality than just being Kal-El's cousin.
The 70s costume changes got a bit out of hand. I would have loved to have seen a shopping trip with Supergirl and Diana Prince, Wonder Woman.

Went with the Infantino/Oskner Headband with red skirt. That was a stylish/classic redesign that holds up and has become a standard for variations over the last few decades. Too much of the early outfits feel dated and reflect too much of the period they were in. With slight tweaks the Headband/Skirt motif works and fits timelessly.
