Except they aren't using knives, it's swords and bullets will only "stop" them for a bit, not kill. Only taking their head off will "kill" an immortal in the Highlander world. So unless you happen to have enough ammo and a good enough shot in totally separating the head from the body by obliterating the neck...a gun won't do ya much good. Unless of course your plan is to stun em' long enough to cut their head off with a saw or axe or machete or such?!? And your bloody well Scottish (if your Avatar is correct) ya' kilt wearing son of a fool and should enjoy a good slice and dice before sitting down to your Single Malt and Haggis for dinner! As a descendant of highlander (real world, not sci-fi) bloodline, I have come to greatly appreciate the efficiency of boom-sticks versus pig-stickers. I own both, but you won't generally see me walking around with my basket-hilt and targe strapped on unless it's for something ceremonial.
Even so, I totally see your point in terms of the proposed "Which One?" scenario.

I choose Gavin McLeod. There can be only one, and don't bring a knife to a gunfight. Now him I remember, and from even before the MTM show: That's McLeod as Happy, to the right of Borgnine. (The guy in the straw hat, in case you've never heard of him.) Nostalgic trivial infobyte: He appeared in an episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show as Mel Cooley's cousin Maxwell.

I've never seen a single minute of any version of Highlander so I have to abstain. Me too.

This week there can be only ONE! Which Highlander for you? There can be only one and there is only one. Connor McLeod is the Highlander, and everything after the original movie is silly fanfiction. There! I said it. I've only seen that first one so it's an obvious and easy choice for me too. I love the Highlander movie - one of the few 80s things I feel much nostalgia for. I think Lambert gets a lot of unfair criticism: sure, not a great actor, but excellent screen presence and knew how to make the most of it in the right part. He was great in Tarzan, the Legend of Greystoke, too.

Connor McLeod In the original Highlander movie. I will not acknowledge or recognise anything that came after that.
There can be only one.

I enjoyed the movie more for Connery than Lambert, but I did enjoy it. I liked the TV series for what it was. In an era where there was far less choice as to what to watch and genre television was an exception not the rule, it was something I enjoyed seeing on the TV. Not as much as the original movie, but still enjoyable nonetheless. I found nothing to enjoy in any of the movie sequels to Highlander-the only highlight from any of them was seeing Mako in Highlander III and saying, cool that's the guy from the Conan movies-which says a lot about the movies if that's the highlight.
So if I had to choose only one, Conor.

Missed last week with work craziness for aligning my resignation so without further ado here is a new Which One: chocolate milk or strawberry milk? Chocolate has my vote. Just tastes better for me. Strawberry always has a fake kind of taste IMO. Chocolate has variety in you can alter the chocolateyness from lighter to heavier depending upon how much syrup or Nestle's Quik you add. And a chocolate milkshake beats a strawberry one every time for me! Your fave?!?

But I really don't want either.

Never get between me and my dairy products unless you have a death wish. I prefer just plain ol' 2% as it is. However, every now and then I'll break out the Ovaltine and dress it up. I'd go with chocolate or malt. All other milk flavorings I've tried just taste like crap.

I grew up on Ovaltine. Can't say I enjoy it nowadays, but the smell always brings me back to those happy days of the late '60s... Good memories!

Strawberry over chocolate.
But what about vanilla?

Never tried strawberry and don't like chocolate milk. Is there such a thing as vanilla milk? I would probably like it, unless it was too sweet.
After a few years of trying various milk substitutes - soy, almond, oatmeal - I'm back to actual milk now the last couple years, but the Lactaid variety, as I seem to have developed a slight lactose intolerance with age. It's a bit sweeter to the taste than regular milk but not as much as the substitutes.

Usually I drink 2% percent milk. Cold glass during hot summer day is cooling, refreshing and tasty. Always crave me some chocolate milk though. One of those special childhood memories of an inexpensive treat growing up poor.

I detest strawberry flavor in all forms, so chocolate by default.
