Yeah, Kirk all the way with me too. There aren't many tv shows that left a bigger impression on me as a young kid than did Star Trek. I don't remember Wild West at all so I suspect we never had that show on our channels - because I'm pretty sure I would have watched it, as I remember watching other western series as a small kid in the 60s. I like James Garner a lot but even if I had seen Wild West back then I imagine it would still be Kirk, since I was always more drawn to SF than to westerns, even then.

James West was played by Robert Conrad. Not remember Wild Wild West? I wanna cry for you. It alongside Trek and Mission Impossible, Man From UN.C.L.E., Avengers and I Spy were the 6 syndication hour long must watch shows in the day. A lot of independent stations carried all of these back to back as their afternoon block of shows.

Oh. Well, if it was Robert Conrad it's even less of a contest, as I've never been a fan of that actor. What was the western with James Garner, then? I never saw that one either but I kniw he was in a well-known western series.
I have seen all the others you mentioned when they were on in the 60s, except for the Avengers, which I didn't see until years later, when I was an adult. We did get it on our channels in the 60s but I think it was on a bit too late for the age I was then.

I generally prefer westerns to sci-fi (especially American sci-fi), and William Shatner was steaming pile of ham while Robert Conrad had some serious acting chops, so I'm gonna to go with James T. West.

This week there can be only ONE! Which Highlander for you? Connor MacLeod or Duncan Macleod? Whose head remains intact? Which one survives the gathering with the Quickening empowering them?
Both are particularly adept swordsmen capable in proof of having survived so many decades. The film is iconic and inspired more movies and the series and set the world view (with many bumps and discrepancies) to follow. Connor is a bit too much the whiner and depressed and moping loner while Duncan is the more outgoing, friendly and accessible warrior. My vote goes to DUNCAN MACLEOD in that mostly there is more and better stories overall (lets not go into the rest of the pitiful movies please) for him and that "in the end" he would make the best champion.
Who takes the "prize" for you?!?

Connor MacLeod. The original Highlander movie was a seminal film of my adolescence, and none of the crappy sequels can take away the impact that film had on me. And lets not not forget the killer soundtrack by Queen. I can still quote all of the pieces of movie dialogue included on the soundtrack album.
"A man's decapitated body was found lying next to his own severed head. A head which, at this time, has no name." "I KNOW HIS NAME!"

Connor MacLeod. As much of a mess as the movie is Highlander was a huge part of my college life.

I've never seen a single minute of any version of Highlander so I have to abstain.

I choose Gavin McLeod. There can be only one, and don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

There! I said it. I always liked Duncan better because he was cooler when I was a teenager. But you're right. And even the first one is pretty stupid in the light of day, but it's fun.

I choose Gavin McLeod. There can be only one, and don't bring a knife to a gunfight. Except they aren't using knives, it's swords and bullets will only "stop" them for a bit, not kill. Only taking their head off will "kill" an immortal in the Highlander world. So unless you happen to have enough ammo and a good enough shot in totally separating the head from the body by obliterating the neck...a gun won't do ya much good. Unless of course your plan is to stun em' long enough to cut their head off with a saw or axe or machete or such?!? And your bloody well Scottish (if your Avatar is correct) ya' kilt wearing son of a fool and should enjoy a good slice and dice before sitting down to your Single Malt and Haggis for dinner!
