That is not a harpoon. It's a combination nose/back/butt picker!
Ball-scratcher, perhaps, if the illustration is anything to go by.
More than a scratcher if you're not super -er- aqua-careful.

More than a scratcher if you're not super -er- aqua-careful. You can only use it once, but then your problem is solved forever!

I usually go with tradition but the blue and white costume was so good and made so much more sense. I would love to see it used again.

Keeping to the cooling aquatic theme with these hot dog days of summer. Which One of the under the sea ladies do you prefer more in Reading about? Lady Dorma, Mera, Marrina, Dolphin or Ariel the Little Mermaid?
Have to admit that none of the Marvel or DC women of the ocean depths ever did much for me. Dolphin was interesting only by default of never really seeing or knowing much about her. So The Little Mermaid wins out since I adored reading any of her comic book stuff.

I guess I'll default to Mera simply because I've read a handful of Aquaman stories. I never read Sub-Mariner. The only Dolphin story I've read was the single Showcase issue, which had great art and a terrible story. I had to look up Marrina to figure out who it was, she made such an impact on me. And I had no idea that The Little Mermaid was ever in a funnybook. Mostly, I'm actively indifferent to all of them.

Mera, if only because of the way Nick Cardy drew her on Aquaman covers.

I like Mera's relationship with Arthur and her powers of water manipulation are kind of neat. I think I like Dolphin more though because when she starts out in David's run on Aquaman, she kind of has this air of mystery about her

Dolphin mostly just because of this story. Otherwise I'm with Slam, mostly just indifferent to them all.

No Marina from Stingray? That show ruled!
And just try to swim when your head, arms and legs are attached to strings!

Dolphin mostly just because of this story. Otherwise I'm with Slam, mostly just indifferent to them all. Upon further review, I've read this issue. I know that, because I've read Morrison's entire run on Animal Man. But it's obviously been a long time because I did not remember Dolphin appearing.

Keeping with cooling thoughts in these hot summer days (and nights) let's ask Which One is your favorite ice based villain? Is it Marvel's Blizzard, or DC's Mr. Freeze, Captain Cold or Killer Frost?
All have wonderful designs and stories to consider in choosing. Blizzard originally was quite lame but became much cooler. Mr. Freeze's tragically chilling story truly became greater thanks to Batman the Animated Series. The coldly snarky ruthlessness of Captain Cold is strikingly different. The beautiful frosty Killer Frost has become better known through her CW television appearances on Flash. How do you choose?
Mine has always been the undisputed leader of the Rogue's, Captain Cold with his freeze gun and running around in the summer in his parka jacket sweating away for the sake of his moniker in cold style turning Central City and its inhabitants into popsicles and ice cubes.
