Peter's clone that came out of the 90's clone saga story. Once he found out that he was the clone and not Peter Parker, he took up the name Ben Reilly and stayed around as the Scarlet Spider, if memory serves. I've only read it once when it was coming out. But I did rather like the Scarlet Spider costume. Though I'll admit it's very "90's fashion" so I think I'm in the minority liking it.
Sorry... I didn't use the "sarcasm" emoji in my original post.
That was just my way of saying that Peter is the O.G.

I've never been a big Spider-man fan but I did flip through some of the clone era books. I saw it was just a storyline that probably would end in a reset. The only lasting consequence was that Norman Osborn was brought back.

Which One was the Superman replacement you enjoyed most? Cyborg Superman, Steel or Superboy?
While I enjoyed the Superboy series, he did NOT carry on the vision and hope that is necessary to being Superman. Cyborg Supes had his evil agenda, so John Henry Irons as Steel was the inspirational hero to fill those big red boots.
Your choice?

This was after my time. Never read any of these stories. Me neither. Now if you'd asked me whom did I prefer, Superman-Red or Superman-Blue, well, then I might have an opinion.

Same here. And anyway, I always have to abstain from voting on anything involving Superman since I dislike the character in all his different versions. Except for:

It's Superman...so really we all know how I feel. And I said from the very beginning of the event that Clark Kent/Kal-el would be back within a year (I honestly don't know how long it actually was). So I got nothin'.

The Cyborg Superman was kind of cool. Steel had the worst artwork of the 4 books. Superboy was annoying.

I like John Henry Irons/Steel as a character, just not as a "replacement Superman" gimmick. There's a lot of interesting stories that could be told with the base concept of John Henry Irons, and a lot of thematic territory that could be explored in the storytelling, but getting started as a cheap imitation Superman was an albatross that dragged the character down and made it hard to reach any of that potential. Once the event was over and Superman was back, there was more room to explore what the character could be, but it was still handicapped by that conceit as its introduction and I don't think the character ever really reached the potential it has.

Superboy was an arrogant jerk-ass with something to prove, but lord I loved him so. I like Steel in concept, but not in execution
