For as much as people talk about Heat Mizer and Snow Mizer, I don't remember that show at all. I'm sure I've seen it, but it doesn't elicit any memories, fond or otherwise.
Now, as for The Grinch, that song is a bop, as my daughters would say, and I have to agree. No matter how many times I hear it, it just doesn't get old.

I don't recognize the Miser (Mizer?) song or the show it came from. I know the Grinch song, but I'm not sure I've seen the show all the way thru more than once.

Which One of the holidays is Egg Nog for? Christmas or New Years Eve?
Growing up my parents were beer drinkers until I was around age 9 when my mother decided it was time for them to quit. I had never seen or heard of this strange beverage called the Nog of Eggs before this. But from there on, the Nog became the family traditional drink to toast on New Years Eve at midnight in exchange of alcohol.

Neither. The only way I'll drink egg nog is if someone pays me significant amounts of money. It's repulsive.

Egg Nog is usually a Christmas drink. Champagne is more traditional for New Years. But it's cool what your folks did.

Egg nog for Christmas... and even though I am primarily a whisky drinker, I actually prefer rum in my egg nog as opposed to whisky.
Another favorite at Christmas is Wassail... I usually make only one batch because it is rather labor-intensive. However, it will put a whole roomful of people on their tails if they're not careful-- a deceptively potent traditional British holiday hot punch.

Only time I’ve ever had egg nog was in college and it had copious amounts of Southern Comfort in it, which only made it barely palatable, but like the Star Wars prequels, not something I’d ever want to put myself through again.

You've got it backwards... egg nog only makes the Southern Comfort barely palatable... yuch... my question has always been why would anybody want to ruin a perfectly good virgin egg nog by putting horrid Southern Comfort in it?
Ah, to each his own. I know that many find my beloved Islay Scotch whiskies to be utterly undrinkable, so it's all a matter for one's palate.

Thing is, I haven’t had Southern Comfort since that evening, which was back in 1992, as I don’t really like it either. It’s the anti-Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Two bad tastes that taste bad together.

Neither eggnog nor champagne are seasonal products for me. Neither are they everyday things, but I don't associate them with specific holidays.
Like many things, there's good eggnog and bad eggnog. I wish good eggnog was available year-round.

Egg nog at Christmas...Yummy! With brandy!New Year's: champagne! I knew you were a man of good taste sir. Cognac is pretty good in it too. But only one glass for me. I can't stomach too much dairy. Also I have still yet to try champagne. I've had white wine one time and did not like it at all.

I love cognac in it, when I have it... with a sprinkling of nutmeg, too, btw.
Champagne is a once-a-year New Year's treat for me. I'll drink it, but it always used to leave me with a headache even if I only had a glass or two. So now I just have the celebratory glass and head back for the comforts of vodka with a twist.

I've heard frequently from people that about champagne. So the only interest I might have is trying a mimosa as I do like orange juice.
