A fun thread for identifying when the earliest meetings between characters occurred. For example, the earliest published story in which Superman and Batman met Wonder Woman was in All-Star Comics #36 (August, 1947).

Daredevil and Iron Fist first met on two occasions: once in Daredevil #178 (January 1982) and once in Marvel’s Contest of Champions #2 (July 1982). I suppose that the latter being a repurposed story repackaged in a hurry caused the continuity snafu to be overlooked.
In both instances the two heroes come to blows and compliment each other, but while in the first case both are using oriental fighting styles, in the second Danny tells Matt that he fights like a heavyweight boxer.

The First Meeting of Jay Garrick and Barry Allen in 1961. Historic since it tied DC's 1940's stories into the "new" DC heroes that started in 1956. Also created the DCU Multiverse with the Earth 1 & Earth 2 concepts.

First meeting of a Golden Age character in the "new" MCU that started in FF #1. Namor appears in FF #4 (1962).

Inspired by Michael's FF#4 and Flash #123 post, here's a weird one: The Golden Age Flash's comic relief sidekicks (of sorts) actually beat Jay Garrick into the Silver Age by six months when they reappeared in Flash #117. Though no mention is made of them coming from an alternate Earth (I think it's safe to say these are the Earth-1 Three Dimwits) or even being recognized by Barry Allen as "those goofballs from the old Flash comics I used to read", this is Barry Allen's first contact with characters who up until then, had been exclusive to The Golden Age.

All-Winners Comics #19 from 1946 also possibly features the first (though retroactive) time we see two mutants meet and be on a team in a Marvel comic, because Sub-Mariner and the Whizzer were later said to be mutants.

Anybody know the first Lee Kirby story? I assume it was a 50s monster book. I suspect Stan Lee and Jack Kirby are often thought of as a Silver Age team, though their cooperation on stories apparently goes as far back as Captain America Foils the Traitor's Revenge from Captain America Comics #3 (May, 1941), more than 20 years before the Fantastic Four:

Stan wrote a prose piece in an early issue of Cap. But Kirby was working with Joe Simon at that time, and continued to right up to the mid 50s. I wonder what the first tale that Stan wrote and Jack drew?
