That Batman is not my Batman. Hey, maybe it's Wolverine at a costume party? Maybe it's just the '90s kid who was routinely exposed to his cover art in me talking, but I'm still quite fond of Kelley Jones' Batman. It's completely off-model, and completely expressionistic. It's a dream of mine to see Doug Jones play this Batman in a live-action film. |

but that's why she has that awful "M" thing on her boobs on her costume. I note on that splash page, no artist is listed. . I think even the artist knew it was awful. I believe that Dr. Doom was responsible too. . . here's the variations of the character:  |

The story is that Sharon was assaulted ( Raped? ) by a gang of man and was suicidal when she joined the FF. Only when she became hideous was she able to function as part of the team. She eventually wanted to be cured as she mutated further and went to DR. Doom for help. Not a good idea.

What about "Kieron Dwyer, breakdowns; Joe Sinnott, finishes"? That means it's mostly Sinnott, working from Dwyer layouts, right? |

Ms. Marvel, like Captain Marvel and Spider Woman, has gotten to be a name applied to more than two characters... it gets confusing even before you factor in various 'earths/timelines' which Marvel seemed to plunge headlong into just when DC was supposedly cleaning theirs up.

Yeah, it gets annoying when you can't just say the character's name - you have to specify which character with that name you mean. |

I too was getting into comics and I like Kelly Jones' Batman. But then I like Todd McFarlane's too, so I'm ripe for being ribbed lol. I particularly like Jones in the vampire Batman books. His style really fit for those stories. Mike Migonla is just a great artist, but yes his art in Gotham By Gaslight made it the masterpiece it is. (Also with Aliens Salvation and Batman LOTDK #54)) On the flip side of the extreme Batman ears I really like the polar opposite of Matt Wagner.  |
