This is a new comic, and I posted about it in the modern comics section, but since there are folks here who never venture to that section who might be interested in this, I am cross-posting here... -M

I was just thinking the other day how odd a Neal Adams drawn FF would have looked in the late 60s or early 70s, when only Kirby and a couple other artists (Romita, Buescema) had ever worked on the series. Now we'll get to see, but of course the effect won't be the same as there have been so many different styles on the FF book since then, several of them influenced by Adams himself. I'll still feel some mild curiosity over how it'll look, I'm sure.

I still love Adams work, I put up with his writing for it. But Adams drawing a Waid script? I am so there. He did draw the FF ion Avengers #93, well Skrulls impersonating the FF.

Adams and Waid...sold. Adams is one of the few true legends with abilities that did not completely go south--tied to a rocket--as he matured.
This should be interesting.

Surely worth getting compared to much of what is currently being put out from the big 2. Not sure if Waid has a strong selling presence these days but combined with Adam's art it should get some nice attention.

I'm curious to see it. Waid wrote some good FF. I'm fine with Adams, so long as he isn't plotting or writing; otherwise, we will probably get Franklin Richards tortured by Galactus' herald and turned into a killing machine.
Or Skateman 2, Electric Boogaloo.....

If only Adams wasn't inking/colouring his own work....

I haven't seen much of his recent work but the Batman thing he did a few years ago I thought looked interesting, as far as the artwork went. A lot rougher than his classic stuff, for sure. I'm not a huge fan of his style when applied to superhero comics to begin with, so that's probably a factor in my response.

If only Adams wasn't inking/colouring his own work.... What is it with his colors..................... It's like a sea of orange and magenta................. The Continuity stuff always looked weird with that palette (leaving side the psycho characters and bizarre stories).

My only question is; With John Buscema gone, who will do the last issue?

I like Waid on the FF. His run with Mike Wieringo was awesome. I like Adams art but I don't think his style fits the FF. Reed is too muscular and Ben's face is wonky:

If only Adams wasn't inking/colouring his own work.... Good news? Inks by Mark Farmer. Colors by Laura Martin.

If only Adams wasn't inking/colouring his own work.... Good news? Inks by Mark Farmer. Colors by Laura Martin. This could really be great. I am sure that Adams is enjoying doing these strange Batman and Superman stories of recent years. I also think he is not unaware of the criticism leveled against him for them. This could be a way to show he still can deliver the goods.
