Alright, let's try favorite minis, brought to you by the letter C... it started as a mini, and was si good and so successful it became a series of minis and other stuff, but Brubaker & Phillips Criminal... and Mark Schultz bringing his stuff to Marvel's Epic imprint, the Cadillacs and Dinosaurs mini was amazing... from Corben's own Fantago publishing house. Children of Fire (3 issue mini) there are several Conan minis I could put here, but my two favorites are Conan: The Book of Thoth by Kurt Busiek, Len Wein and Kelly Jones... and Conan: The Jewels of Gwalhur by P. Craig Russell Also notable is Conan: Death Covered in Gold which reunited Roy Thomas and John Buscema on the character... though Big John didn't do the covers. -M

Just some quickies off the top of my head: The Hawkeye miniseries from 1983 was great, and I found both Hercules minseries (1982 and 1984) enjoyable. The Wolverine mini from 1982, Elongated Man from 1992, West Coast Avengers from 1984 were also really good. Nightcrawler (1985) was fun. Legionnaires 3 was good, but then I'm a Legion junkie. And yes, I'll admit to liking Contest of the Champions (1982) and the first Secret Wars (1984) also.

I'm assuming Zeck just did the layouts on these covers, 'cause whoever did the paintings doesn't seem to have a clear concept of human anatomy. What the hell's going on with his neck on issue 2?

I'm starting to think this would be a good Christmas theme (though maybe not since we have this thread)

I'm starting to think this would be a good Christmas theme (though maybe not since we have this thread) Shhhh...the Gods of the Classic Comics Christmas might hear you and be annoyed. Remember, we are lowly and it's not our place to second guess the ways and intent of the great God Ceee-Ewww, brother. For he is all-knowing and all-wise. Peace be upon you, brother.
