I'm starting to think this would be a good Christmas theme (though maybe not since we have this thread) the first 12 Days I participated in had the theme of short-run series (minis or those cancelled to soon) which is what first turned me on to a a number of the series I posted about in this thread. -M

Let's give L a swing... Lobster Johnson, The Iron Prometheus, another stand-in for all the Lobster minis...pulp adventure in the Hellboy universe Legend of the Hawkman, 3 issue prestige mini with gorgeous art by Michael Lark The Legend of Wonder Woman 4 issue throwback mini by Kurt Busiek and Trina Robbins, hearkens to the days of yore and the Golden Age WW Lords of the Ultra Realm (6 issue mini plus a special) I like this though it's reach may have overextended its execution) and that's it for the L's. -M

Hopefully this counts, but my choice would be the 1984 Marvel version of Transformers (LOL):

LOVED this as a teen. I had long been a fan of Ernie Colon's art, and this was a great showcase for him! Of course, it was followed up by specials, a continuing series, and, recently, some misguided reboots.. But nothing beats the original!
