Season 3 has been amazing. Loved the focus on Lois dealing with cancer as well as the more introspective battles with a villain that wasn't pure evil. I feel like other characters got a chance to shine and makes season 4 so bittersweet that they won't be there.

Renewed for a 4th (and final 10 episode) series on the CW. However budget had been severely cut with 7 actors being let go and # of special effects decreased. I feel bad for the actors and feel it will hurt the series to the point that it will be merciful to end it. Shortened 4th season, then cancellation. Such is the fate of CW's DC series: always low budget, never adapting the version of characters many would like to see, instead, producing far too many series few ever cared about. Superman and Lois (with the worst casting for Superman i've ever seen) is okay. Not great, but okay, and quite often, Tulloch's Lois Lane gets the lion's share of the meatier plots.
The Kent sons are largely annoying, especially Jordan, who is not awake if he's not whining and moping about everything. Its one thing to be a teen going through growing pains (superpowers involved or not), but he's like every CW young adult/teen angst TV series ever produced all rolled into one character. I will not miss Jordan when the series comes to an end. |

Season 4 has been better than I thought it would be. They have found ways to tell the story despite their reduced budget.

I'd written down the premier date a while back, but totally forgot about it when the time came. I managed to catch up on the first 2 episodes tonight on my cable company's OnDemand service, and will probably get to the third one in a day or two to bring me up-to-date. I'm enjoying it so far. Hopefully they manage to end the series on a high note! |
