Seriously, there's been very little Namor talk around here for quite a while. Welcome! That's right!!! I talked about Namor ALL THE TIME. I forgot. I've been reading Alpha Flight so much lately, that I have not had time for much else. But soon! Soon I will pick up a Namor book and read him again. |

Speaking of whom, I got the Namor: First Mutant TPBs via eBay a couple of weeks ago ... oooh, it mostly has decent art. It's not too bad, actually. They kind of made his grandpa a bad guy, and the vampire thing was a bit odd, but that art...so pretty (again, mostly). |

Er well I just got here, but it already seems like it is more fun here than CBR. That place has been pretty much dead since the reboot, at least on the classic comics section, which is the only place I have much interest in any more.

That's because all the interesting and cool people came over here. Then they let me in just to prove there are exceptions to the rule. |

IIRC, we're not supposed to say bad things about those people. Why, I'm not sure. No one is prohibited from discussing what occurred and how badly it was handled. I simply ask that we not bad-mouth the community as a whole, nor individual members and staff there. Three reasons, really: 1. Some folks here still post there and enjoy doing so 2. We don't need bad blood between the sites -- Pro CBR folk storming this page and Pro CCF folk storming that one, etc. No good comes from antagonism between online communities. Right now, no one at CBR has any beef with this site's existence, and I'd like to keep it that way. 3. I believe in handling breakups with dignity. We're not the scorned partner who gets dumped and sits there brooding; we're the one who moves on, finds a better relationship and life, and never looks back (all the while driving the other partner insane with jealousy and regret). The CCF has its own identity now; I'd sooner forget where we came from and look forward. |

I just posted this in Meanwhile-
Just a random comment- I do most of my comic book posting here at CCF. I only use the CBR for the comic book cover contest. It's way too hostile there and I don't want to be banned for a silly post taken out of context by a fragile mind.
