Hard to believe what we're coming up on is only the six month anniversary since we made the move here. So, looking back, a simple question: Are you better off? Have we done a good job creating a new home here? This is not a rhetorical question. I'd love to hear constructive criticism, if you have any. And, for a bit of CCf nostalgia, here's where it all started six months ago: community.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?162-Classic-Comics-Forum

I couldn't be happier with the way it worked out.
Cei-U! I summon the contentment!

I'm sort of tired. I woke up with a slight headache this morning. And as usual I'm at work about 2 hours later than I should be.
Please try to change all of that.
Thanks!

Oct 14 entry: #17: Shadow of a Doubt (1943/USA)One of Alfred Hitchcock's many gifts was his ability to blur the genres of mystery/suspense and horror. As a result, it's incorrect to squarely label Shadow of a Doubt as a horror film, though it does feature a psychologically deranged killer and a desperate gambit for survival by its close. Beyond being a fantastic film that leaves you on the edge of your seat in its own rite, the film casts a wide sphere of influence, being felt in such disparate later films as Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street (vulnerable young girl forced to find the inner strength to make the bad man go away when no one else can help/believe her) and Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight (explaining this one would give away much of the ending). This was supposedly Hitchcock's favorite of his own films. I can't say I agree, but it's riveting throughout and likely to raise the hairs on the back of your neck at least twice. That should have reinvigorated your razor sharp wit and gotten your mind off of other matters At the CCF, we aim to please, folks.

Ever since the CCF creation, my breathe has been minty, my tennis game has improved, my dog now obeys me, women find me irrisistable and my pot roast never tasted better. Thank you CCF.I might even read some old comics

It's been a bit of a transition. I do still miss the ease of access that the CC community used to have on CBR since I also browsed other forums there as well. However, everything is starting the feel the same is it used to again! I still miss a lot of the old members who stopped by back in the day.

Been meaning to ask, shax -- have you ever gotten a chance to see the actual horror movie that's pretty much a retelling, The Return of Dracula?

I post more than I did on CBR (apologies to those who read them) and don't feel like as much of an outsider. But I also feel like I don't contribute much. That's because of the knowledge of the community, though, which is a good thing.

That's because of the knowledge of the community, though, which is a good thing. I don't know where you get the idea that you don't contribute much. 900 posts in 6 months? Stepping up to help, first, with the social media aspect of the community, and now serving as a mod for the Hall of Justice? You're a big part of this place, my friend, whether you see it or not.

Thanks again for this site, shax.
I've taken a few looks at CBR since the reboot and I do not think I would enjoy the new version of its boards. Even the news site is too... corporate, would be the proper term? I'm glad that Jonah's once small Kingdom Come message board has grown so successful, but today's CBR is not for me anymore.
I don't see much difference between CCF and the old Classics board (apart from Lone Ranger's absence), but the lack of occasional trolls is definitely a blessing.
Keep up the good work and many thanks once again!

I'm very happy with this new home we've made together. We talk about the items we want to and unlike other places, we are all well-behaved and courteous to each other.
