I will not be at all surprised if all my choices wind up on everyone else's lists!  Mine are, by and large, very mainstream. So are mine for the most part; and as it looks now they'll all be conventional hetero couples. Not surprising, really. For me at least, the couples that first come to mind and which I recall as favorites are the ones I encountered in the comics I read (and then re-read multiple times) in my formative years - when I was mainly reading mainstream comics that rarely featured non-conventional romantic relationships. |

I don't have twelve yet and some of the ones I've thought of may not qualify - whether because of the rues or because I'm not sure how I feel about them myself - but I still haven't given much thought to it so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to come up with enough to fill in a list, even if a few may be problematic.
If all else fails, I can include some that are favourites in the sense that their relationship was important to the story even if it wasn't necessarily a healthy one in itself or good for the characters as individuals.

I’ve just changed one of my choices (oh, the deliberation in my head). It’s a newspaper strip. That means I have two British choices on my list of 12, the other 8 are American.

Well, I will say this: frustratingly, 2, maybe 3, of my choices (UK) don’t seem to have any pictures (or decent quality images) via Google. I can phrase it different ways, but it’s not proving easy. One character, when I Google him (and his partner), it’s bringing up images of a real-life person, a vice-chairman in a technology company, who happens to have the exact same first name and surname as one of my characters!

Apparently a little late to the party... or you're just a very chatty bunch.
But I'm getting to work. Hmmm... Does Kurt really mean couple? This is 2021, and we've all seen Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice...
Now are these my favorite couples or the couples I find most interesting to read about? Some of my favorite couples to read about are relationships I'd strongly recommend ending if the people were real.
