When you use the Add Attachment button, you're given that option. Cei-U! I summon the pie it's as simple as!
I don't see an "Add Attachment" button. I see an "Insert Image" and there's nothing showing to upload from the computer. Am I on an outdated message board format? iirc, there was an option to add attachments in the early days of our site, but Proboards has limits on capacity and charges for the bandwidth used, so that option was disabled by our admin very early on as the capacity would be filled quickly and it would make the site more expensive to maintain. But's its been a dogs age since it happened, and I may be misremembering or things could have changed. -M |

I'm actually ahead of the game for once: I've got all my images selected, downloaded and cropped. This is something I usually leave til the last moment, then run around like a lunatic trying to get it done. Go me!

Pardon my ignorance Kurt, but how do you upload a photo from your computer? There's nothing on the links above or am I totally missing something all together? The uploads only show links and https..... I summon thee stupid question. yeah. . I've never been able to, and wish it was an option. I have lots of stuff on my local computer, that I don't have loaded elsewhere I can link to. I occasionally link to a picture I've put up on Facebook, but those links seem to expire very quickly, and the images no longer show here at CCF |

I can answer this one. @mrp was correct in his synopsis of the attachment option and why we had to remove it (you have no idea what this would have cost to maintain!). However, I made exactly one exception for Kurt back in the day, so he is the only CCF member who retains that function. Folks often ask me if there is anything they can do to help with the cost/maintenance of the CCF. Well, start an image hosting server 👍🏻 |

I find that imgur is quick and easy. That's how I post the screen shots of our Zoom calls - Windows Snipping Tool to grab the image, copy & paste to imgur, then copy the BBcode link from imgur to CCF. The part that takes the longest is waiting for a moment when everyone is smiling; the rest takes less than half a minute.

ImgBB is another easy to use alternative and does not require registration.

I can't even pretend to figure on the other member choices. Been here long enough to know the CCF Cranky Curmudgeon Retirement Center is actually a home for the mentally unstable. You know there will be certain obvious choices turning up but the fun of this annual discussion is what turns up OUTSIDE of the norm. I mean come on. I could have focused upon the Many Loves of Dobie Gillis or James T. Kirk or the many bed partners of Clint Barton or She Hulk or Tony Stark or Bruce Wayne. I predict we gonna see some wild choices for this year... |

I think #12 is my only for-sure wildcard, especially as it's about a very-very toxic couple, one I'm rooting for to break up, but a favorite to read about. I could imagine some of my other 11 choices being unique, but none of them should be.
Note I'm not entirely sure I'm settled on my top 12. I have another week. I'm happy with my top 15, and sad to let any 3 of them go.
