I know it's Netflix, but I am sooooo happy "House of Cards" is on, and it's been sooooo good.

I love that this OJ show does not seem to be biased one way or another with his innocence or guilt. Of course I think he"s guilty, but the show being presented this way makes it so much more interesting. It leaves me rooting for either team depending on context.

Just started watching Empire. I've been meaning to check it out for a while, and now I see Hulu has the first two seasons. It's more music that I typically like in a show, but I do enjoy the crime drama. It's Glee with gangsters.

We ended up watching seasons 1-3 of Wentworth (on Netflix) over the past few weeks.
Friday, I think it was, I did nothing but eat pizza and watch the rest of season 3. In a David Bowie tee, running shorts, and embroidered blue cowboy boots.
I don't get enough days like that.

I've been catching up on Castle for a while now. I'm on season 3 currently. It's not bad, but the witty banter has certainly become less entertaining since season 1.
I've also been watching the Amazon series The Man in the High Castle. It's pretty well done, but geez is it depressing.
The show I've been enjoying most lately is the first season of Daredevil (I know there's a thread for that, but I fear spoilers, since I'm only on season 1). It's really good!

I just watched the fifth episode of the Star Trek Continues web series yesterday. Among all the fan-made Trek shows, that is my favourite; its scripts are remarkably true to the spirit of the old series, and having the son of James Doohan play Scotty (convincingly, too!) is amazingly cool. Other actors from the original series also show up from time to time (or fan favourites like Lou Ferigno).
The actor who plays Kirk doesn't have the same voice as William Shatner, but he really does a convincing interpretation; both men look alike, have the same build and move the same way. It's almost eerie at times.
The special effects are very close to what we were used to in the '60s, even if they're probably computer-generated. I much prefer that look to the video-game aesthetics typical of today's productions.
There a sixth episode coming soon; I look forward to it!

Comcast is giving free HBO, Cinemax, and Starz this week to its customers this week, including all of their On Demand offerings, and since I have some time on my hands, I started watching Game of Thrones yesterday to pass the time. Yup, I'm hooked already, just four episodes in.

House of Cards Season 4(?) fantastic.
Finally finished Season 1 of Daredevil and glad I did, was kind of underwhelmed for a while but pleased with how it finished, now for season 2.
Jessica Jones, my goodness but this is damn good, had only watched the first couple and got distracted, but have watched through to episode 6 now and cant wait to see the rest. Good enough to be my contender for the best comic book show screening.

I have been talking to friends about the TV Show "Castle" starring Nathan Fillon is a jerk and having said that I'm no longer a fan of this show and stopped watching altogether because Nathan does not treat his co-star very well that's Stana Katic and Tamala Jones and both of them are being axed from the show and everything went south in a hurry.
I heard that Fillon is a bully and I find it hard to believe what I heard from three friends of mine; and I'm having a hard time understanding this and having said that I've to swallow this bitter pill about the pitfalls of this show.
Right Now, my faith of Network TV weaken and that's why I've been watching many hours of documentaries that are far more educational than any network show like Castle.

I watched the first episode of Preacher last weekend. Dunno if I'll bother with the rest. They seem to have changed almost everything except the characters' names, for no good reason that I can see.

I'd heard there was a "Moonlighting thing" going on, but that certainly doesn't jibe with anything any one else who has ever worked with Fillion says about him. Ah well, celebrity gossip, yuck. |
