I had no issue per say in the development of the characters, though some of them I still felt no real attachment too, because to me, the paranormal aspect of it was overshadow by the time spent with the characters back stories, and developing them to be ready for what was to come. But it felt like nothing ever came until we get to the last episode. And then everything that needs to be wrapped up is just shoved into 45 minutes and doesn't feel natural to me. Perhaps it was because of what it described itself to be, had little to do with what it really was. It was like going to watch Signs to see an alien invasion movie. Yeah, there was an invasion, but not globally like War of the Worlds, but just one farm house. Because the aliens weren't the star, it was the characters in the movie, and how they were tied together. But for some reason, for me personally, it worked in Signs, but not in Stranger Things. At least not as well, for me.
And I too was surprised by "the jerk's" turnaround. Really not who I thought she'd be with.

I actually really liked Stranger Things, the characters were well developed and I loved the homages to the various 80's movies.

Thought Stranger Things was fantastic.
If you're a fan of 80's flicks like The Goonies, E.T., It, etc then you should enjoy it.
Also has one of the greatest intros maybe in TV history. Brings you right back to the early 80's.
I think my only complaint would be how utterly generic the monster looked.

I liked "Stranger Things." It was a lot of fun.
Did you see the SNL skit?
I'm watching too much TV right now. "Gotham" is generally pretty bad but I like it anyway, and I really like the Mayor Penguin plot a lot.
"Scream Queens" is still HILARIOUS in its second season.
And I was kind of not too thrilled by the new "American Horror Story" but starting with episode 6, it got really good!

I'm also watching "Supergirl," "Son of Zorn," "The Last Man on Earth" and "You're the Worst."
And MeTV started "The Land of the Giants" on Saturday night and I've been watching it on DVR every Sunday morning. It's so wonderfully silly. I'm crazy about Heather Young (Betty). And the dog cracks me up. I think his name is Chipper. I'm always worried about the dog! He's so tiny! He must be an inch long compared to the giants. I'm always yelling at the TV: "Who's keeping track of Chipper?" "Leave Chipper in the ship, stupid little people!" "Don't let Chipper wander away! He'll get stepped on!"
After six episodes, Chipper is the only one who's never been captured by the giants.

The new season of Supergirl has been very enjoyable so far. Stranger Things was great. Luke Cage was mostly brilliant, although it seems like the writers were a bit rushed towards the end. The Flash seems to be suffering a bit from "Let's make everyone sad" syndrome.
Westworld is amazing! Three episodes in, this show is my 'must watch' right now.

Watching a rerun of Barney Miller. I've only seen it a few times, but wow. Great show.

The Flash seems to be suffering a bit from "Let's make everyone sad" syndrome. Four episodes in and they've shrugged that off, thankfully. The latest episode was a lot of fun.

Caved to curiosity and tried the new Lethal Weapon series. Initially I laughed off the very idea and had no intention of ever watching it. Damn if it's not a surprisingly good show.

Any fans of Danish political drama Borgen around here? I'm halfway through the first of its 3 seasons and it is excellent. Best tv series I've seen for a while.

I've been really liking the new Syfy show Incorporated. It's a great bladerunner like show with a lot of intrigue.
