I love the Kingkiller Chronicle books, but I'm kind of worried about this: a TV series and movies?The books are so richly detailed that I'm afraid some of that will be dropped in the adaptations. I really hope these are good. On a more optimistic note, I'd never seen the art used in that article before. It's cool! |

Picked up the first 3 seasons of Black Sails for cheap on Black Friday on a blind buy and am now binge watching the first season. Starts off a little slow but picks up halfway through the season.
So far I'm loving it and I heard it only gets better from here. Don't know why I never watched it before.

Picked up the first 3 seasons of Black Sails for cheap on Black Friday on a blind buy and am now binge watching the first season. Starts off a little slow but picks up halfway through the season. So far I'm loving it and I heard it only gets better from here. Don't know why I never watched it before. It's a pretty great show, the plots themselves aren't always the greatest but the characters are so great that it's worth it. I think the next season should be starting up soon. |

I watched this over the weekend thinking it was going to be some weird, quirky, one note show that would keep me busy while the lousy weather had me cooped up inside. It ended up being one of my top shows of the year. They went places that I would never have expected a show with a trailer like that to go. What I was expecting to be a knockoff of Napoleon Dynamite ended up being one of the most challenging comedies I've seen in years.

I agree the characters definitely make it worthwhile. Yes the 4th season starts on January 29th. It's going to be the last season. Of course it is and just when I started watching it too. Over the weekend, with my husband sick with the flu, we binge watched a couple series on Netflix. We caught the second season of "Between", and then the first season of "The O A".

It is on E4, which is a British channel, and not available in the states. But I read you might be able to catch it on BBCAmerica. But if you have Netflix, it is available on there.
